Tell me about the education system of your country.
Without this instrument of change we will all dwell in darkness... I know few people who wouldn't buy my point but the truth they say is a bitter pill.
Any country aiming towards independence and economic stability requires education for the citizens in order to reach this tectonic goal.
I come from a West African country where the attention and support given to education has not been 100% efficient.
It is quite saddening that there have been a great decadence in the level of education in my country Nigeria.
Corruption and ills of the society has eaten deep into the system of education in my country.
The Education system in Nigeria has the current implemented structure 9–3–4.
9 years basic education comprising of pre-school, kindergarten and grade school.
3 years of secondary education, and an estimated 4 years of tertiary.
The Federal Ministry of Education regulates the affairs of formal learning in the country.
Although we are not where we ought to be but there have remarkable development in the educational sector especially with the involvement of the christian missionaries who see Education as a tool for nation building.
Is there any special institute or organisation which is working for the welfare of mankind?
Indeed there are special organizations who seeks after and supports the quality of education in Nigeria.
Some of these organizations are regulatory bodies, others are Non- governmental organizations who act in the interest of improving the quality of education in the country, sometimes, they set up other sub-bodies to monitor a specific project.
Do you think your education system need improvements?
Despite the miles achieved there still lies a lot of work to be implemented into the educational system in Nigeria in the area of offering scholarship to students to assist those who can't afford schooling.
Also, the menace of examination malpractice should be firmly looked into as it has become a norm among many school children hence they take their studies lightly.
