""Let's Start ""

Question:Tell us about the most popular and memorable event occurred in your country's history?

Answer: The best event in the history of Bangladesh is the liberation war of 1971. In this war independent sovereign Bangladesh was born in exchange of 30 target animals. What happened to this war? And the reason for this war was left? Why 3 million people lost their lives in this war? Surely this question has arisen in your mind. Let's know the memorable event of history.

I want to go a little deeper into history to explain this phenomenon. On 14 August 1947, a state called Pakistan was formed in Bangladesh. Then this Bangladesh was called East Pakistan. And the people of East Bengal will speak Bengali language. And they wanted Bengali as their national language.

But suddenly the people of East Pakistan i.e. Bangladesh felt that their expectations would never be fulfilled. The ruling class of West Pakistan wanted to impose their Urdu language on Bengali.

They also narrowed East Pakistan economically and politically. And in this way the East Pakistanis created a backdrop for the freedom struggle. But the Pakistani government completely opposed the logical demand and declared Urdu as the state language of the whole of Pakistan.

Question : there any involvement of that event in the creation of your country? Tell us about it?

The language movement of 1952 started in protest against their decision. This movement took place on 21st February 1952. Where the students of Dhaka University got together and started the movement.

But many students including Rafiq Rafiq Jabbar Barkat were martyred as a result of the police firing on the protestors and the crowd. And this event gives a new dimension to this movement. and multiply the political importance.

On March 10, 1954, in the general elections of Pakistan, East Bengal won a majority and formed the government. But Pakistan could not accept this supremacy of Bengalis of the ruling group. Therefore, within two and a half months, the cabinet was dissolved and President's rule was imposed. Then in 1956 Bengali was finally accepted as the state language along with Urdu in the constitution.

During the elections in 1969, there was a large turnout of Bengalis out of 100, the number of Bengalis was 56 percent. After seeing this, the government made the Directory of West Pakistan to launch the election. Military rule was imposed in this sequence.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman presented a six-point demand by showing the real picture of this racial discrimination against Bengalis. Which is also called the demand for Bengali rights. Which later came to be known as the Emancipation Charter of the Bengali nation.

As a result, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other 35 people were arrested and filed an anti-state case. The case was known as the Agartala case.

After that, a nationwide movement was formed to demand the rule of the interests of East Bengal. And political slogans change. "Your address is Padma Meghna Yamuna Wake up Bengali Wake up" The movement for autonomy opened the way for the freedom movement of Bangladesh. Non-violent movements tend to turn violent.

Asaduzzaman and Matiur Rahman and several other students died in police firing during this mass movement. And the news of this death adds another dimension to the mass movement. The Pakistan government was forced to withdraw the case under heavy pressure. And later released 35 people including Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. And Sheikh Mujibur Rahman became known as a leader in this movement.

As a result, West Pakistan was forced to hold one-person-one-vote general elections. After winning this election, they refused Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to form the government.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called for a non-cooperation movement in March 1971 to protest the adjournment of the elected session of the Jatiya Sangsad. Then the people of all levels of the country responded to this call of Bangabandhu. and destabilized the economic and political position of East Pakistan.

On 2 March 1971, the flag of Bangladesh was officially displayed at Dhaka University. And on March 3, the song Bangla Aami Teho Samhob was recognized as the third song of Bangladesh.

And March Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Without letting him form the government, he gave a directional address to the Bengalis to all nations at the Racecourse Maidan. And said "this time struggle is our struggle this time struggle is our freedom struggle"

On March 24, the Pakistani army launched a non-cooperation movement. Hamala is run in all cantonments. Our Pakistani forces carried out a gruesome massacre on Bengalis. Besides, the invading forces started massacring the Bengalis. It is done to children and elderly. In which night about one lakh Bengalis had to give their lives. Then the war ended at the cost of 30 lakh lives for nine consecutive months.

On 16th December 1971 Bikron 4 surrendered without a conference of 2 million soldiers at the Dhaka Race Course Maidan. Then this day is celebrated as Victory Day every year. And this was a chapter in the history of Sonar Bengal.

Question :What is the main lesson that can be obtained from that event?

Answer: From the above incident we learn that no matter how strong the enemy may be. It is possible to fight him if we can stay united. And a good leader has good leadership.

Bengalis got independent Bangladesh under the leadership of Keman Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar. So a good leader is needed to face all the evils. A good leader can only guide the people. As shown by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He will remain immortal in the hearts of Bengalis for the rest of his life.

So it can be said that no matter how strong the Sutra is, we have to stand shoulder to shoulder and unite with each other to face it. Only then can one be saved from the enemy.

I invite three of my respected friends to participate in this contest.
