Hello everyone good morning to you all. 2020 was one hell of a year for many people in the World. It was that year that the lockdown began. Then, I was in 200 level in the University and we were asked to go home. I stayed at home from the month of January till January 2021 until we were asked to resume school. When we finally resumed, the academic session was rushed. We attended lectures for just a month before we wrote our exams and this affected so many students academically including myself.

Tell us how you survived from hunger and boredom during the lockdown.

2020 was quite a year, before the total lockdown I went to visit my aunt that stays in Awka Anambra State, i couldn't go home because of the total lockdown. I don't know how we survived hunger that year, thank God we could afford 3 square meal daily. We didn't mind the quality of the food, our main focus was to have something in our stomach. After two weeks, intra street travel was allowed and I went home. After staying at home for a while doing nothing I went to learn how to make hair and that was how I dealt with boredom.

Tell us 4 ways you prevented the COVID-19 virus.

Regular hand washing

Washing hands constantly, using soap and water.

Maintaining social distancing

We maintained physical distance atleast 5ft apart from people.

COVID Vaccine

We took COVID'19 Vaccine which gave us immunity against the virus.

Wearing protective masks

We always put on facemask anytime we're in the crowd.

Did any of your family members or close friends contact the virus?

No, non of my family members contracted the deadly virus. We observed all the preventive measures.

Ebola and COVID-19 which one was more frustrating?

The two are deadly virus but COVID-19 was more frustrating.

This virus rendered a lot of people jobless because some companies had to lay off some of their staffs because they couldn't afford to pay them again.

Some petty traders that depends on their daily gains from selling daily in the market find it quite had to survive.

Tertiary school students wasted a whole year at home because of this Virus, myself inclusive.

Crime rate increased because people were hungry and stealing was the order of the day.

Many homes were broken because of the inability of parents to provide for their families.

I'm so glad we survived the pandemic, thanks for reading through my post, I invite @basil20, @nayavee and @akofem to participate in this contest.

The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic really shattered most homes, we can only wish that such shouldn't occur again or any time soon.
