My view on the issues of bad roads
Greetings to all my dear Steemit friends! Happy Sunday to all of you. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I really appreciate it.
Back to the topic of the day, you know if I'm being asked what's the system of government that we are practicing in Nigeria? Trust me I might mistakenly say fascism meanwhile it's democracy.
Why you may ask? It's because our governments only focuses on the things that benefits them and their party only, and just like the call it "for the interest of the party"
I remember back in the days when government only focuses in the interest of the electorates, when senators and representatives will be fighting each other in the parliament simply because their bills was overruled which would have benefited the masses.
But today, just look at where we are now. We are now operating a system where the people are scared of the government. Just imagine the kind of road that we have here in the capital city of Akwa Ibom.
Just imagine our road |

And above all, this is the road that leads to the Federal University of Uyo annex campus as well as the main campus. But just imagine the mini river that is in the middle of the road. The government is in the office doing nothing, and no one is saying anything.
I remember in history when a government misbehaved, first, it would be warned. If it continued, it would lead to a recall or impeachment. But today, the system is so corrupt that impeachment is now a thing of the past.
The road which you all are seeing is so bad till the point that most vehicles usually get spoilt while trying to drive through and not to mention our keke drivers (tuktuk drivers) those one's are the ones suffering the most.
Thank you for sharing together here.
Much appreciated
