What's the latest good news in your family?

The latest good news in my family at the time of writing this post is that I was nominated as part of those to take the scholarship exams in my state. I have long applied for a scholarship here in my state to go for my master's abroad and we have waited for the list for more than 3-4 months now.

About two days ago I received a phone call from an anonymous that I should get myself prepared because my name has been listed among those to sit for the qualification exams coming up on the 26th of this month.

I was so delighted when I heard the news because I had lost hope already and I thought I wouldn't be given the chance for the scholarship because it has taken more time than expected. So as it stands, I'm currently studying and waiting for the exams joyfully and I believe I will pass and be among those who will be sponsored for this program.

Tell us one of the bad news from the past in your family.

The bad news that keeps ringing a bell here in my family is the sudden death of my uncle. He is a very young man full of life and suddenly he became so sick that he couldn't walk after much treatment, he looked as though he was getting better, and before we knew he gave up the ghost.

It is a sad moment for the entire family, especially his newlywed wife and kid. It is still a mystery to us all and we are still in shock anytime we remember how the strong and elegant man passed away. This news is still fresh in our memory even though it has been up to a year since the incident took place.

Tell us about your favorite relative Why is he/she your favorite?

My favorite relative at the moment is my cousin's brother Joshua. He is a living example to me and a very dedicated person. I like him so much because he is always different from others and he has always told me to be different so that I can be able to stand out among my equals.

He is a master's degree holder and an assistant lecturer at the University of Ilorin he always motivates me to join the line of lecturing as learning never ends and with me in the line of lecturing, I will keep myself updated.

He has done a whole lot for me as a brother and I'm grateful because it was because of him that I was able to graduate and become who I am today.

Describe steemit as one family in two paragraphs.

Steemit is one family, indeed Steemit is one family because you earn and then you also encourage others to earn. When I first joined the platform, my mentor would always guide me and direct me on how well I could write.

One thing that makes me see Steemit as one family is that my mentor never gets tired of me. I call on him anytime and anywhere and you will see him immediately without delay. Even if he is doing something else, he will leave it and then attend to me.

This is why I see Steemit as one family because the people here do things selflessly without expecting anything in return. So with such attitude, you can conclude that the Steemit family is indeed one family.
