Hello everyone, I hope we are all having an amazing day. I welcome you all to my blog. Today I write my second publication in this amazing community. I use this opportunity to thank @fantvwiki and the Hot News community for organizing this amazing contest where each and everyone can share some knowledge about their preferred android mobile application and why they chose that.

In our daily life, there are a lot of mobile application that most of us use everyday but in this post today, I will tell you why my preferred android application is Google Maps.

We are now in the computer age and almost everything we do depends on the technologies we use. I remember some years back when we had an excursion to attend at Tamale International Airport when we were in lower grade. Actually the teacher guiding us to the place didn’t know the location and same as the drive. We only asked for the location and use to Sign Boards to find our destination. It was very appalling, we nearly lost our way.

But today, we find places easily by the use of google maps, same destinations and with the help of this map you can know your location and you destination rather than asking around and reading sign boards to get to your final destination like we did years ago.

WHAT IS GOOGLE MAP

Google map is an online free map from google which is accessible through our web browser and also an application for our android mobile devices. Google map give us a step by step way of finding our location and our destination and other awesome functions.

FUNCTIONS OF GOOGLE MAP

• IT GETS DIRECTION

Now everywhere I want to go to and I am not really familiar it’s the place, I use google map to give me a free step by step and turn by turn directions to my final destination. It does not only give directions but rather give better directions to your directions.

All you need to do is visit your google app application and from directions you enter your destination and your phone will tell you what road to follow where to turn and where to make a U-turn and in now time you’ll be at your destination.

• IT’S HELP’S FIND INFORMATION EASILY

Google map is just all about finding your way, and location about/of places. There are a lot of information about places which we can find on the map. You can search for a local restaurant or food joint just by entering its name in the map and in no time it is located.

I remember three weeks ago when @mukka and I were to visit @kataali at University for Development Studies, Nyankpala Campus, abs since it was our first time, we used the google map and in no time we found the location and arrived at our final destination simply.

HOW TO USE GOOGLE MAP

The below steps shows how to use google maps effectively;

1. On our android mobile devices can download Google Maps app from google play store, but it is mostly installed on most phone.

• Make sure your phone is connected to the internet and signed in to Google Maps

• Search for a place, by typing the name in the search bar.

• To go to a particular place, tap on to go

At the bottom, tap the name or address of the place and then Download Download and then Download. If you searched for a place like a restaurant, tap More More and then Download offline map and then Download.

• Enter your destination and you’re showed a good number of ways to get to your destination.

• Tap in Steps and more to show you the step by step distance you should cover and when to turn.

FUNCTIONS OF SOME FEATURES OF GOOGLE MAP.

	it shows you exact location on the map.
	you enter your destination and mode of transport.
	it is used to save your map location offline.

Isn’t this amazing. These are there main features we shoul all know about. With google maps locating places is going to be very simple and easy. Be it a hostel, restaurant and a prefers place you want to go to and also do a lot of things.

Google map does not only help find location but also helps to locate I a vehicle, train or bike around you and one of the amazing role it plays is helping in locating you phone when it is missing. This is my perspective on why **Google maps is my preferred android application.
