Yes, I think following many communities on Steemit is a good thing. It allows you to gain insights from different perspectives and learn from different people. A great way to engage with the community and participate in discussions. I currently follow about 10 different communities on Steemit.

I have had a bad experience with a community I joined in the past. It was a community that was focused on a particular topic and it seemed to be a great place to engage and share knowledge.
