First let me say a very big thanks to Hotel News Community. In this post, I have discussed about music that is played and listened in Nigeria. Let's take a look at what I have discussed.

What type of music is a characteristic of your country that is played or listened to a lot? Describe this.

Music is something that do give us joy most especially when we are sad. Whenever you think that you're very sad just listened to your favorite music you will discover that there would be no feeling of sadness in you. This is the reason why I said, music is something that takeaway sadness in our lives and feel us with joy which is the reasons why we have so many different types of music with they characteristics in the world.

In Nigeria, there are different types of music that people loved to played and listened to a lot. As I have earlier said, in Nigeria we have different types of music which are;

• Religious music (chrinstain & muslim music)
• Traditional music
• Afro-Beat music
• Highlife music
• Reggae music
• Hip-hop music and many others.

The affomentioned music above, are the types of music that is played and listened to a lot in Nigeria by both youths and adults.

Religious music: This is the type of music that are meant for worshipping God and giving thanks to God. In Nigeria since we have different ethnic groups such as Hausa, yourouba, Igbo, fulani, efik etc one religious music can be sing in English and still translate to either hausa, Igbo or youroba language.

Although, in Nigeria, chrinstain music and Muslim music are the common characteristics of religious music. There are thousands of chrinstains music that is played and listened to millions of Nigerians both personally and in congragation.

In the other hand, traditional music are music that is mostly played and listened in the village. You can hardly find them in the town because there are tribal music. However, the most common music that is played and listened to alot in Nigeria is Hip-hop music.

Explain the beauty of this music and the reason why this music can attract visitors to listen to it?

Music is very beautiful to us as it takesaway sadness and bring us joy, happiness and laughter. Music is something that as you are listening to it you will be noding your head or shaking your body because of the type of message that the music has pass to you.

The beauty of music is very powerful, in such a way that music tend to make us dance, feel happy and give praise to God even at a particular our that you might be thinking that you're bored once you start listening to your favorite music you will start dancing.

Another beauty of music is the beat that is used in the music and mostly in Nigeria if you want to enjoy good beat then I will advice you to listened to most of the Nigeria chrinstain music because they beat are so wounderful and hart touching in such a way that when you're playing them you will not know the time that you are been carry away.

Also, music make us to know things of the past and things of the current. It reminds us about so many things both the good and bad that is happening in the country. Infact music is meant to pass information to the world which is another thing that brings beauty to music.

Are there any similarities between your local music and other parts of the world?

There is similarities between the music that is played in Nigeria and that of other part of the world which is the reason as to why most of Nigeria musicians are been invited for a show and so on in other part of the world.

Nigeria music involves both beat, the use of bans, drums, gingter, microphone and other musical tools which is equally the same thing in other part of the world.

In other part of the world, music is feature by different artists like dancer which is also the same thing here in Nigeria.
