It is a pleasure to be here this morning. This season5 engagement challenge has been so amazing, and to the glory of God, we have come to it conclusion. To end this season, I will be sharing the latest happening in my locality.

Greetings to everyone out there, I remain your hot news reporter (@ishayachris), reporting live from ilorin east, Kwara state Nigeria 🇳🇬. I am here today with the latest happenings in the state. Remain blessed as you listen.
On the 8th of November, 2022, the state experienced an unusual increase in fuel price. Initially, the price of fuel was #180 per liter, but it suddenly increased to #270. Despite the increase, the citizens of kwara state never reacted. Asking one of the truck driver why people of the state never reacted to the situation, in his response be claimed that they believe the price will go back to normal price within few days. I was surprised by his response because it has always been hard for the price of item to reduce in Nigeria.

Reading through the headlines this morning, I found out that the price has increased again from #270 to #300 per liter. Citizens of the state are now beginning to react to the situation, as the price of fuel is affecting the cost of transportation and the prices of goods in the market.
Base on current report, 70% of the fuel station in the state are locked due to lack of fuel. Due to the high demand of fuel, The remaining 30% of fuel stations in the state are experiencing high demand, and they might not be able satisfy the needs of their customers.
Currently, a lot of taxi driver, motorcyclists, and other car owners have parked their machines. These has also lead to decrease in transportation in the state. The few taxis that are still working has increased the amount of transport, and it is now hindering people from going from place to place.
Asking one of the fuel station manager this morning concerning why the price of fuel was increased, he reported that it is due to the crisis between Kariya and Gaskiya community in Oyo state.
The crisis has hindered fuel tankers from bringing fuel to kwara state, as the place is not safe. Nevertheless, report has reached me some minutes ago that, Nigerian government has ordered military personnel to intervene in the crisis. We pray that the crisis comes to and end soon.

It's very unfortunate that the people of ilorin are experiencing such. A friend called me from there yesterday, and she was bitterly complaining about the increase in transport. I wish the issue can be tackled soon. Wish you the best in the contest dear.
