Music calms peoples nerves when one is unhappy or angry. No matter who you are, where you are coming from, the language you speak, get to know that music brings peace, excitement, togetherness and relaxation. Music makes us sleep well, music makes us to forget about any type of sorrowful situations we may have been suffering from. Any day any time 💃💃💃🌹🌹.

🌹 Traditional / Cultural music:
Nigerians are beautiful people with a higher class lifestyle, they appreciate lovely things and love their pattern of enjoyment at all occasions. Nigeria has 4 regions; east, west, north and south and each region has their local beats, drums and dancing steps. So whenever any cultural music is playing out, from afar a Nigerian once he or she hears it will automatically know and tell you which region of the country the music is coming from. We love our culture, food, music and our dance steps.

🌹Like the Ohafia war dance is from the people in the Eastern region, precisely from Abia State of Nigeria. Any Nigerian that hears that dancing drums or sees that dance steps knows it's from the Ohafia people, no other tribe dresses or dances the way they do. It's specifically known.

🌹The Yoruba people from the western Nigeria has their own dancing steps, drum beats, cultural dresses for any dance steps, like wherever any Nigerian hears the drum beats of Eyo dance steps or dressing, he or she will typically know this is the Yoruba people from the region of Lagos state and many other states in the western Nigeria. No other region dresses or dances like the Eyo dance of the Yorubas.

🌹Hausas are known for their Cultural dance steps of koroso. This dance steps and drum beats are also the dance steps of athlets. It's a dance step that has been in existence from the beginning of that region. No other tribe has it as their Cultural dance steps except them, the Hausas and Fulanis from the northern region in Nigeria, are known for both the beats and steps.

🌹Etighi dance steps and drum beats are from the Ibibios and the Efik of the Akwa Ibom state of Nigeria, the southern region of Nigeria. No other tribe in Nigeria owns this dance steps, dressing, the drum beating and songs involved in this particular dance are specially for this people. Though everyone can learn and dance to the music and dancing steps but it is totally owned by these regions as I have mentioned.

In the society today, there are so many other music and dancing steps the young people has modernized making them very popular and acceptable in the society today. Such music and their lyrics, dancing steps beats and drums are very popular, everyone can sing and dance them as they like or according to the dance steps presented by the singers.

Hip hop music and so many others.

All of these music has been in existence but are now modernized, changed or added some certain things to make them acceptable, danceable and unforgettable to the society both old and young people dance to the tune and steps of these types of music.

🌹 Christian music
Christian music are the integral part of our worship to the Almighty God of all creations. From us his creatures to him the most high God. This type of music is none negotiable to him and him alone. This is where I belong totally everyday. I mean this is my type of music, the one I listen to, dance and enjoy any day any time. As you can see me dancing above, that was what I was dancing to. There are so so numerous of such in my country, Nigeria all day.

The Igbos worship and praise God with it, the Hausas do the same, the Yorubas worship God in their tune and language and drums, beats and dancing steps, the Ibibios, Efiks and many other languages in my country Nigeria, we have 250 dialects and languages all of these praise and worship and reverence God our great creator in our mothers' tongue on daily basis as you can know that Nigerians are very religious people, some worship the Almighty God, some worship whatsoever they want to but we are all very religious over here!! 😂😂.

🌹 High life music
The high life music is an infusion of many other types of music especially the makosa from Ghana and the Afro beat music from Yoruba land of Ngeria. That has become the modern western jazz melodies with today's dance steps. Both young and old dance the highlife type of music in Nigeria today.

🌹Afro beat music
The Afro beat music is originated in Nigeria by the popular Fela Anikulapo Kuti and his family.
He was very popular about this music during his days. Afro beat music is the combination of Fuji music which is properly from Yorubas and the western music but with the drum beats of Yoruba rhythm and dancing steps. His two sons Femi Anikulapo Kuti and Seun Anikulapo Kuti are still playing this family music to the society after the demise of their father, the originator even till today and the society listen and dance to it every day!.

🌹Raggae music
The Raggae music is another rooted African music, originated from Jamaica by Bob Marley and Lucky Dube of South Africa. This music is danceable by all generations. It's played with drum and the stick, Bass guitar and so many other musical instruments.

🌹Ajegunle style music
The Ajegunle style of music is the type of music danceable by the young people. It's a mixture of hip-hop, rap and Fuji music of the Yorubas of Nigeria. It originated in the suburb of Lagos state of Nigeria by some youths who were singing and playing randomly, today it's a special type and style of music and has it's different dance steps and songs. It's a hard dance.

Nigeria is the land of music, so many music types are heard of everyday, listened to, or are danced on daily basis. Nigerians are happy people, they search for and find their own happiness and joy by themselves and by the things they do for themselves. This is why Nigerians are called "suffering and smiling people" Nigerians are serious hustlers, because there is a very little or no support of the government to the people, everyone is on their own in Nigeria. The people create their own happiness and joy through music and dancing, and through watching football leagues and matches and so many other things they know to do to be happy.

WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC IS CHARACTERISTIC OF YOUR COUNTRY, THAT IS PLAYED OR LISTENED TO A LOT? DESCRIBE THIS

Christian music, Raggae music, Highlife music, Rap music, Afro beat music, Rock music, Ajegunle music, Jazz music, Hip-hop music. These and many more are listened to and danced to by both old people and the youths on daily basis, they have the characteristics of most Nigerians local dance any time any day.

Music we know is a universal language, without you understanding the language spoken, you can still dance to the rhythm and beats of some music because you just like them. The beauty of music can never be totally mentioned because they are too many. Music makes us feel good. Music calms down our nerves. Music changes our bad mood to good moods. Music can cause us to go to bed and sleep. Music entertains us. Music are communicators to the society. Some music are prophetic declaring the future from now. Music can be tasty and pleasurable like some tasty foods we eat. These and many more are the beauties of music to mankind.

Visitors can be attracted to listen and dance my local type of music any time because of the messages, meanings, rhythm, dance steps, drum beatings and the cultural background of Nigerian music. During Fela's time many foreigners visited the kalakuta shrine Ikeja Lagos his music base because of the messages, beats and sound and dancing steps involved in his type of music, the Afro beat type of music.

Yes, there are, Majority of our local music beats styles and dancing steps which are a fusion of old western music and our local modern dance steps today, and we all are enjoying them. So there are so many similarities between my local music and others from any part of the world.

Conclusion, music is the food for our soul and body, we all love music from the local types to international types, music is good to the body, let's keep dancing and being both joyful and satisfied.
