Recently the Supreme court of the nation has announced that the old Naira notes will now be used again till December 31 2023. This is the news Here

How it all started

Last year December it was announced to us Nigerians that the old naira notes will no longer be used from January and that they'll be replaced by the new ones and that all the old notes should be deposited into the bank.

But unfortunately after many people deposited their old notes to the bank the new ones were not released much and it was not much in circulation leading to naira cash scarcity in the country.

People could no longer buy goods with physical money only through money transfer and not many accept mobile money transfer especially those who sell foodstuffs and other little things. Banks don't even release peores money and the old notes are no longer accepted.

Most people wasted their old notes buying things that were unnecessary just to spend the money and i will not expire in their hands while others market sellers used the old notes to make more money by adding prices to their goods so people have no choice but to but them.

This hardship continued and most people cried even for the smallest things and many wasted their money and even lost it while doing transfer.

But for now things there is a little change.

Announcement that old notes be used again

Recently and currently the old notes are being used again, it was announced that it be used again till December 31st 2023.

For many this is good news because they still have a lot of old notes that have not been spent and at least there will be more cash circulation in the country.

These has been the latest news development in the country plus the elections that are going on.

I hope that things get better in the country and that there will be more circulation of the new notes so that after December we will not keep suffering to buy things.
