Following the experience of a very heavy rainfall last night, too many structures were helplessly affected. This building is sited in a swampy area and was not much noticed until this exceptional and disasterious rainfall took place. The foundation was seriously and badly affected. Maybe here requires a very deep foundation and a standard building materials with intensive supervision during the construction.

It was an immagency vacation away from the building this morning and were grateful to God for saving their lives. As you can see from the pictures, the building bugled forward, shutting out the base walls. The stansions were pulled exposed. Water is flowing beneath the the building foundation.

Ebonyi state government has sealed the building and ordered immediate demolition of the structure. To avoid victimising the passersby. Investigation for the cause of the intended collapse will begin by tomorrow. The sun rise news has taken the report to the public hearing, urging the government through the victims to come to the aid of the displaced persons.

This is indeed a total waste to the owner since there's no remedy to this effect right now. This is the importance of ensuring that building construction is taken charge of by the professionals to avoid wastage and probably the lost of the innocent lives.

The intended collapse could be as a result of poor quality of the used building materials. As from the point base of crack here, there is an indication that the building blocks are weak. It could be from poor supervision, unprofessional builders assigned to handle the job. The choice of foundation type might be wrong. Therefore, this is a point of warning to the builders and developers to always buy application of professionalism in every wise during building construction to avert waste and disasterious effect of this magnitude.
