Steemit Engagement Challenge S3-W1|All About My Job : Doctor at service of mankind .
Hello guys, hope you are all steamed to steem in a new season of the Steemit engagement challenge. This is my first post of this season. Today I choose to write about my job.
I strongly support the phrase that Work is Worship. On the other hand, we have distinctions between jobs like white-collar jobs and blue-collar jobs. Whatever the history or theoretical definition of these terms, those aspects of jobs are secondary. White collar workers theoretically seem to have an advantage over blue colour workers in terms of social steps and monetary benefits driven out of their jobs. At times, these theoretical parameters of the jobs may not fit into their corresponding categories. I believe that whichsoever class of workers we belong to, we should be dedicated, diligent and honest with our job.
Every job has its importance and is mandatory to carry society forward. No work is good or bad, it is we people who make a work labelled as good or bad. In a society, we need to have every worker of every profession be complete. So a job of a teacher or doctor is as important as a cobbler. We cannot say, a teacher is better than a cobbler. Both have their role to play and are therefore important.
Job Description
I am a medical doctor working in the government sector at the primary care centre. As for my activities are concerned, I am supposed to consult the patients that visit the hospital. In addition, I supervise the activities performed in other sections like the immunisation and lab section. I also supervise the procedures that are performed indoors. I also have to attend night duties at secondary care centre where I need to perform normal deliveries as well.

Pros and Obstacles
As for my job is concerned, it is a social service where you alleviate the suffering of people. It always gives a pleasant feeling and peace of mind, when patients are relieved of their sufferings. As for obstacles are concerned, the biggest obstacle is that primary health care centres are not comprehensive and I need to send patients to other centres or private setups for some investigations so that proper diagnosis is made. At times, patients are lost in follow-up. Being not able to deliver comprehensive care for some patients is disheartening. The saddest part of the profession is, when we as doctors are helpless in certain incurable diseases like Cancers in advanced stages and many more incurable genetic diseases.
Hopes and Expectations
As far as hopes and expectations in future are concerned, I hope that all the levels of care are made comprehensive from primary to tertiary level. As medical science is progressing, I expect to see some solutions for incurable diseases like Cancers in the near future so that masses can be saved as cancer are taking heavy toll of lives.

Yes that's true .

My son is also a doctor. What is sad is that there was no future for him in our country. He now lives in Ireland with his family.
The governments needs to wake up!
Good luck for the contest!
He could have started private set up in native country . Wasn't an option to explore ?
Most of the doctors who want to have luxurious life even ilhere flew to West because governments don't pay much here .
Thanks for your valuable engagement .
He had his own practice but there is currently huge debates as government wants to do away with medical aids and only have government facilities. This is going to be a huge problem for private doctors.
What I cannot understand is that we are sitting with hundreds of students who don't get posts for their final year but yet, our government get the help of Cuban doctors and not for free.
