SEC S5W5: My Corner: Progress report of Akwanga market.

Hi amazing steemians, I'm pleased and privileged to partake in the ongoing Engagement Challenge Contest season5week5. Thanks to the steemit platform for bringing about such a good initiative for more interaction and engagement among steemians, thanks to the Hot news community for raising an educative and helpful informative contest topic for steemians to share reports on what's happening in their respective corners which I'm about to share mine, so be relaxed as you read down to know about the latest development in my town.

Yesterday was the 10th day of November which is Akwanga market day. The government and leadership of Akwanga local government declares yesterday to be for sanitation. With cooperation and love, citizens came out in mass to do the needful.

During the process of cleaning, the general manager of Nasarawa state health management bureau arrived, he commented on the efforts of people who turned up for sanitation and he made promises that he would ensure there is continuous cleanliness of the market together with his officers. Immediately after his speech, everyone was happy and impressed to continue the sanitation.

Serving corps members who are serving under Akwanga local government also joined the sanitation and I happen to be one of the corps members. The aim of youth service in Nigeria by the federal government is to make sure each graduate pass through serving his country in one way or the other and for that reason, the NYSC(National Youth Service Corps) body was called to join the sanitation as a duty of the corp members.

The whole of the Akwanga market was kept in place because people turned up with the serving corp members and these guys were all doing the work in peace and happiness because we are aware of our duties as corp members. I was as well happy because I love it when people reasons well to keep the marketplaces clean for hygienic purpose and this shows that the government in this town are doing its job greatly.

This is another report I want to share. This is still happening In Akwanga, the government raised a project of renovating and restructuring the market structure. The current report is that the building project is moving beautifully fast and it's been announced that businessmen and women should not cross the boundary set for the project. Akwanga marketers are very diligent to the commands given to them so, they moved to the road sites to sell.

Now, as of yesterday, this is the look of the Akwanga market, it looks spaced and beautifully painted.
