A currency is a means of trading and exchange for goods and services in a nation or state. It is adopted by the finance sector. The financial institution leads the action of production and incorporation of these currencies as a legal tender for citizens to consume.

The 50 naira show diversity in ethnicity on the notes because there are 3 different portraits representing different tribes in the country uniting to form a nation.

100 Naira contains image of different people in the country representing their various culture as they are each doing activities that represent their various cultures.

The 500 Naira shows a great Patriot and fist ceremonial president of Nigeria. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe of blessed memory who fought to make sure we get our Independence from our colonial masters Britain.

Are there any details or signs to distinguish the money from counterfeit money

There are some differences too. The real money when folded and kept for 3 seconds rises immediately showing its not ordinary paper, counterfeit when folded does not rise.

The real money when viewed in light shows a stamp of the central bank of nigeria logo and a the reflection of the faces on the note, the counterfeit can never have the special reflexion of the stamp and the view of the reflection of the faces on the note.
