Local News : Refugee Flood Victims Reached 34,060 people in North Aceh

This morning, the capital of North Aceh, Lhoksukon, flooded shops, offices and houses of residents. You can see the water has crossed the road. It is estimated that the water has submerged the city of Lhoksukon since 5 am. In the morning the people who were there went back and forth to save their property, whether it was saving their livestock, household equipment as well as their motorbikes and cars. If left unchecked, it will be flooded and the goods will be damaged.

Panic ensued, when running did not know the direction. After running far away, then return home and just save the property. Officers from Search and Rescue (SAR), Regional Disaster Management Agency, TNI, and Police were at the flood site. They are ready to help people affected by floods.

Until now, residents affected by the flood have fled to meunasah and other refugee camps that they consider safe. In the refugee camps, there is a public kitchen which is managed jointly by the community. Until now, children and adults have started itching, medical treatment has not been fully handled, because the puskesmas cannot reach the flood-affected areas. Because the water still remembers the residents' settlements, and there is no access to get through the flood.
