Family is the best and we all at one time or the other falls back to our family. Family can be very challenging and things tend to plague the family. When good news happens, we rejoice and when bad news happens, we team up and help one another, that’s what family is for, to be there for one another in the good times and bad times.

Every family have their fair shares of their happy times and their struggles and my family is not left out from either of these two.

What's the latest good news in your family?

Good news makes the heart celebrate and rejoices. Good news give hope for better times and makes us want to push harder and strive for better living. Thank God for the gift of life to celebrate more family good news.

The latest good news in my family came through my elder brother and he just bought a new car. A beautiful one at that. It was a call for celebration because people have been looking down on us and have written us off as a no do well family due to the many struggles we’ve been through but thank God we are pushing.

My brother bought a car, not just any kind of car but a very classy one, classier than all the people who have been mocking at him and It was really a call to celebrate as his business had picked up again. I do not have a picture of the care on my phone, would have loved to share it with us.

Tell us one of the bad news from the past in your family.

Bad news are not good for the family but thank God that we are able to always survive and hope again. The bad news from the past that really shook my family was the death of my dad. He was doing very well in business and before we could say Jack, he was poisoned and attacked by his enemies who were jealous of his progress.

That was where our ordeal began. We started carrying him from hospital to hospital in a bid to salvage his health. He recovered a little and later had a relapse. They said he had brain tumor. A surgery was carried out, he recovered and had another relapse.

He lost his consciousness and I remember my mum and I carrying him to another hospital in another city. Along the journey our car was attacked by armed robbers but we escaped and my mum was hit by a bullet. I was sleeping at the back of the car and didn’t know what was happening, I was awakened by the gun shot directed towards us.

My daddy was awake sitting infront of the car but was oblivious of his environment. He has lost his memory. My mum carried the bullet wound like that and we kept journeying. When we got to the hospital, he was admitted and my younger sister who was the last born of the house fell sick too and was almost dying too. It was a very terrible moment for the family.

Five days later, my dad died but we had to stay in the hospital for another month to treat my sister. ThankGod she survived. After her recovery we started going back home. It was a very painful moment for the family because we had to sell off my fathers properties and all we had to treat him but he didn’t survive.

That put a financial strain on the family business. By the time we came back from the hospital, all the money was gone and we came back to zero. To eat was a challenge and the business was packed up. People bagel mocking us, it was like falling from grace to grass. But thank God we have bounced back.

Tell us about your favorite relative Why is he/she your favorite?

My favourite relative is my cousin Named Ozor. He is my favorite because of his disposition. He is a very calm person and is easy going. I just have a way of connecting to him in a deeper sense.

I confide in him sometimes on some things that I may not even tell my direct blood relative and he is very understanding and of course whenever am in an financial strain and I call him, he never turns me down. He’s very generous and that’s a plus for me. Hahah. We all like that relative that gives us money.

Describe steemit as a one family in two paragraphs.

I must say that steemit is actually a family away from family. It’s not just about blogging and creating contents, there are people here with genuine passion to reach out to the people in need. I have been a beneficiary from steemit.

Two years ago, I was sick and needed some money for my medication. I saw a charity post in one of the community asking for people who needed medical help, I submitted my post and they sent my 3 SBD, I sold the SBD and used it for my medication. I have also seen @wox-helpfund send money to charity for peoples treatment every now and then.

Am glad to be a part of the steemit family and I intend to contribute my own quota for its growth.
