I will talk about a place and mythological events that I have mentioned in some of my posts before, and I will talk about two mythological events belonging to Asclepion and Pergamon Acropolis in Pergamon.

First of all, I will tell you the legend of Asklepion, the ancient Greek god of health.
According to the story, when Asklepion's mother was pregnant with Asklepion, his father Apollo accused him of infidelity and before his mother died, Asklepion was born from his womb.
He takes it out and then delivers it to Chiron, known as the horseman. Chiron knows all the secrets of nature and teaches Asclepius all the healing knowledge. Thanks to this information, Asklepion has the power to resurrect even the dead and heals all the sick. The god of death is very complaining about the situation, and Zeus does not like this situation at all, and he kills Asclepion with his lightning bolts while preparing a new healing recipe. Asclepion's prescription for healing falls from his hand and a garlic plant grows from where it fell.

Our teacher conveyed this mythological legend to us at the Asclepion health center in Bergama, which was established in the 4th century BC. It is known that the garlic plant is a source of healing, its story was very interesting to me.

Another legend takes place in the Pergamon Acropolis, which is also in Pergamum. Demeter (her name is Ceres in Roman mythology), sister of Poseidon, Hades and Zeus, passes between her daughter Persephone and Hades.

Demeter is the goddess of fertility, agriculture, soil, season and motherhood. He taught agriculture to cultivate the land. Agriculture was very important at that time, as it is today, to be a strong society. Demeter used wheat and horn, horn of fertility as symbols.

I heard the name of Demeter for the first time in Pergamum, but I was very surprised that Demeter was the hero of a very important legend. I'm sure many of you will experience the same surprise as me.

Persephone, the daughter of Demeter, whom I mentioned at the beginning, is a girl who is famous for her beauty, and her beauty is talked about. Persephone disappears one day
Her mother Demeter descends to the world to look for her and leaves no stone unturned, but she cannot find her daughter. Demeter is devastated by her daughter's sadness, she is cut off without eating or drinking, she does not go to Olympos.
The nature, saddened by this state of Demeter, becomes a partner in Demeter's pain. The sun no longer shows its face, the flowers do not bloom, the waters dry up, there will be drought. No one can reach Demeter anymore, the gods and goddesses are worried about this situation and they start looking for her, but they cannot find her. If they do not find Demeter, people and animals will die of hunger and thirst, and life will come to an end. Demeter finally gets information about her daughter, and learns that her daughter has been abducted by Hades. He tells Hermes that if they do not bring his daughter back, he will not do their duty and will turn the world into a desert.

Hades talks to Zeus and assures that Persephone will be returned to Demeter. but there is a very important condition that he must not eat anything in the land of the dead. Just as Persephone is going to be sent home, Hades' gardener Askalaphos arrives and says that Persephone plucked a pomegranate from the garden and ate it, and things got mixed up. Still, his mother is handed over to Demeter. Demeter is very happy, but she gets very angry when she learns that she ate a pomegranate from the land of the dead. Demeter, who does not want to send her daughter to the land of the dead, asks for help from the goddess mother Rhea to find a solution to this situation, and an agreement is made.

Persephone will spend one-third of the year underground and two-thirds on earth.
When Persephone returns to Hades, Demeter shortens the days and makes the season winter.

Legend has it that this is how the seasons were formed in Greek mythology. Demeter had a very important place in Greek mythology regarding the seasons and motherhood.

It was a different feeling to listen to this legend in the place where meetings were held in BC and where demeter's teachings were applied. Can you imagine someone made this column centuries ago and it is still intact, I can touch it, its energy is unbelievable. Just like the movie Back to the Future ☺️

Sizlere daha önce bazı postlarımda bahsettiğim bir yerden ve mitolojik olaylardan bahsedecegim Bergama da bulunan Asklepion ve Pergamon Acropolis' e ait ikitane mitolojik olaydan bahsedeceğim.

İlk olarak Asklepion, eski Yunan sağlık tanrısına ait olan efsaneyi sizlere aktaracağım.
Hikayeye göre Asklepion'un, annesi Asklepion'a hamileyken babası Apollon onu sadakatsizlikle suçlar ve annesi ölmeden karnından asklepion'u
çıkarır sonrasında at adam olarak bilinen Kheiron’a teslim eder. Kheiron doğanın bütün sırlarını bilir ve Asklepios’a bütün şifacılık bilgilerini öğretir yetiştirir. Asklepion bu bilgiler sayesinde ölüleri bile dirilticek gücü hakimdir ve bütün hastalara şifa verir. Ölüm tanrısı durumdan çok şikayetçidir, Zeus'un da bu durum hiç hoşuna gitmez ve Asklepion'u yeni bir şifa reçetesi hazırlarken yıldırımlarıyla öldürür. Asklepion'un şifa reçetesi elinden düşer ve düştüğü yerden Sarımsak bitkisi yetişir.

Bu mitolojik efsaneyi hocamız bergamada bulunun m.ö 4 yy da kurula Asklepion sağlık merkezinde bizlere aktarmıştı. Sarımsak bitkisinin şifa kaynağı olduğu bilinmektedir, hikayesi bana çok ilginc geldi.

Diğer bir efsane ise yine bergamada bulunan Pergamon Acropolis'nde gerçekleşir. Poseidon, Hades ve Zeus'un kızkardeşi olan Demeter ( Roma mitolojisinde adı Ceres olar geçer), kızı persefone ve Hades arasında geçer.

Demeter bereketin, tarımın, toprağın, mevsim ve anneligin tanrıçasıdır. Toprağı işlemeyi tarımı o öğretmiştir. Tarım günümüzde olduğu gibi o dönemde güçlü bir toplum olmak için çok önemliydi. Demeter simge olarak buğday ve boynuz, bereket boynuzunu kullanıyordu.

Demeterin ismini ben ilk defa bergamada duydum ama Demeter çok önemli bir efsanenin kahramanıymış çok şaşırdım. Eminim birçoğunuz benimle aynı şaşkınlığı yaşayacaktır.

Başlangıçta bahsettiğim Demeter'in kızı Persefone güzelliğiyle ün yapmış, güzelliği dillerden dillere dolanan bir kızdır. Persefone bir gün ortadan kaybolur
Annesi Demeter onu aramak için dünyaya iner ve gezmedik yer, kaldırmadık taş bırakmaz ama kızını bulamaz. Demeter kızının üzüntüsünden kahrolur, yemeden içmeden kesilir, Olimpos'a çıkmaz.
Demeterin bu haline üzülen doğa, demeterin acısına ortak olurlar. Artık güneş yüzünü göstermez, çiçekler açmaz, sular kurur, kuraklık olur. Demeter' e artık kimse ulaşamaz bu durumdan tanrı ve tanrıçalar endişelenir ve onu aramaya koyulurlar ama bulamazlar. Demeteri bulamazlarsa insanlar ve hayvanlar açlık ve susuzluktan ölecek, hayat son bulacaktır. Demeter, sonunda kızıyla ilgili bilgiye ulaşır kızının Hades tarafından kaçırıldığını öğrenir. Hermes'e kızını geri getirmezlerse görevlerini yapmayacağını dünyayı çöle çevireceğini söyler.

Hades zeusla konuşur ve persephone'nin demetere geri verileceğini garantisini verir. ama çok önemli bir şart vardır ölüler diyarında bir şey yememiş olması gerekmektedir. Persephone tam evine gönderileceği sırada Hades'in bahçıvanı Askalaphos yetişir ve persephone'nin bahçeden bir nar koparıp yediğini söyler ve İşler iyice karışmıştır. Yinede annesi Demeter'e teslim edilir demeter' cok mutludur fakat ölüler diyarından bir nar yediğini öğrendiğinde çok kızar. Ölüler diyarına kızını göndermek istemeyen demeter bu duruma bir çözüm bulmak icini tanrıça anne Rhea dan yardım ister bir anlaşma yapılır.
Persephone senenin üçte birini yeraltında, üçte ikisini yer yüzünde geçirecektir.

Persephone, Hades'e döndügü zaman demeter' günleri kısaltıp mevsimi kış yapar ve persephone Demeter'e döndügü zaman Helios'un güneş ışınları doğaya yeniden sıcaklık vermeye başlayacak ve baharla yaz yaşanacaktır.

Efsaneye göre Yunan mitolojisinde mevsimlerin oluşması bu şekilde oluştuğu anlatılır. Mevsimler ve annelik konusunda Demeter Yunan mitolojisinde çok önemli bir yer tutuyormuş.

Bu efsaneyi m.ö dönemlerde toplantıların yapıldığı ve demeter' öğretilerinin uygulandigi yerde dinlemek farklı bir duyguydu.. Ayak bastığım yollar dokundugum tarihi sütunlar inanılmaz geldi bana. Düşünebiliyor musunuz bu sütunu yüzyıllar önce birileri yapmış ve halen sağlam ben ona dokunabiliyorum enerjisi inanilmaz. Resemen Geleceğe dönüş filmi gibi ☺️
