Travel contest 22th edition | CULTURAL EXPRESSION IN MY COUNTRY, NIGERIA by @sikan-eyen

Hi Everyone,
it's a pleasure having to participate in this contest hosted by @hive-111293 in #Steem-travelers on CULTURAL EXPRESSION.
In Nigeria there exist diverse culture and beautiful traditions that lingers through generations, so i am going to take you through them.
I am by User @sikan-eyen, a pretty Lady from Nigeria, i hail from Akwa Ibom state, in a remote Local government area called Mkpat-enin endowned with rich cultural heritage.
if you must, this is me in a traditional outfit called 'Ankara' beautifully sewed and a matching head wrap to go...off for a child blessing ceremony.
₹There' the Traditional Dancers
These ones grace special occasions like traditional weddings, burials and political gatherings dancing the EKOMBI DANCE throwing their hands in rhythmic patterns to the delight of the watching crowd.

₹Delicious Meal
We are blessed with appetizing meals like Ekpang nkukwo, ayan ekpang, efere editan, efere afang, afia efere, edikan nkong, oto mboro and other special delicacies.

₹ Calabar carnival
The calabar carnival is no news amongst many. It takes place yearly in Nigeria during the festive season, where people all over the world gather to witness rich cultural display from various dancing troupes who dance in the streets of Calabar, what a beauty to behold.

₹ Ekpo Society
'Ekpo' meaning masquerade, showoff in their scary outfits in groups holding their machetes and other harmful tools as they walk through the streets chasing children and women away.
You would see the Ekpo society groups during the festive period, in the Month of December precisely, at burials, festivals, and traditional events in recognition of the ancestors of our land.

₹Traditional marriages
The couple is dressed in complete ibibio oufit, both wrappers or lace with the gele(a head piece for the bride ) and the native cap for the man, both adorned with beads.
