Hello my fellow Steemitians from Steem-Travelers community !! I like to share about the destination which I like very much and have visited numerous times. This is Puri in the state of Orissa.

Puri is famous for it's long beach with golden sand, mouth-watering sea-foods, easy access via air, rail and road, pure sweets and nearby popular destinations like Konark Sun temple, Chilka lake, Temple-town Bhubaneswar.

The nearest railway station to Puri is PURI. It is connected with the major cities in India. The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar. Puri is also well connected by road.

The major attraction for Puri is the vast sea-beach. It is clean and safe for sea-bath. Both Government and private life guards (locally known as Nulia) are monitoring and ensuring no casualty during sea-bath.

There is a temple of Lord Jagannath in Puri and is a must visit if you have faith in God.

In Puri, you will find various kinds of sweets, some of these are - khaja, chena-pora, madan-mohon, rosogolla etc. Sea foods are also easily available.

Once you are in Puri, you should not miss to visit the Konark Sun temple - which is 30km from Puri and well connected via the famous marine-drive road.

Konark sun temple is under the authority of Archeological Survey of India. The architecture in the Konark sun temple is fascinating and you must hire a guide while you visit Konark Sun temple.

In addition with Konark Sun temple, you can also plan a day trip to Rambha or Satpada. Both are beside the famous chilka lake and mouth watering sea foods like various kinds of fish, crab, prawns are available. Youbcan also enjoy boating in Chilka lake from both of the places.

You can also hire a car from Puri and visit Bhubaneswar, popularly known as the temple town. The architecture will definitely amaze you.
