Good evening greetings from me to all of you, always excited to post the trips you visited, this time I will tell you a little about my trip a few months ago when I was in the Aceh Besar area and climbing Mount Seulawah Agam with my comrades in arms

Mount Seulawah Agam is a volcano located in Seulimeum ​​District and Seulawah Valley District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province.

Besides being known as Seulawah Agam, the mountain which has a height of 1726 meters above sea level has other names such as, Solawa Agam, Solawaik Agam, Serawadjanten, and Goldberg. Seulawah Agam Crater is known as Heutsz Crater and some call the crater Tanah Simpago

Mount Seulawah Agam was formed due to the meeting of the Indo-Australian plate which moved relatively to the north, subducting under the Eurasian Continental Crust Plate. As a result of this depletion, a process of melting (melting) of the crust of the Indo-Autralian Ocean occurs into magma, which then breaks through the surface through the weak zone and then forms Mount Seulawah Agam.

Currently, this mountain which is still active, there are a lot of climbers who have climbed, like me and my friends when climbing in early 2021, if you want to climb we must first report to the local village head or to the security police guard the Seulawah mountain , after obtaining a new permit can climb to the top of the peak.

Climbing Mount Seulawah takes approximately 8 hours to get to the top, but when I climb we prefer to camp at the foot of the mountain, because if you set up a tent on the top, I'm afraid that the wind will be strong, might make the tent hit by the wind. , before the climb begins we pray first so that the journey is safe and peaceful.

We have prepared everything when we were at basecamp, as usual the climb started by walking a little, if we were tired we stopped for a moment, until we arrived at the wind gate, why was it named the wind gate , because the wind felt very strong when it was at the wind gate, the plan was to camp there but it didn't happen hehe with a very strong wind, and decided to walk forward again, until we arrived at an empty place that we could stand camp.

For the Mount Seulawah spot itself, there may not be one but there is only the top of the monument made of concrete, that's the only main spot for Mount Seulawah, besides that there is also a photo spot called the elephant stone, which is a large rock that looks very much like an elephant trunk. which stretches high to the top, the rest are straight tree spots with white fog, and this is also the main photo spot for climbers who want to take documentation.
