This mountain presents one of the most famous waterfalls in aceh today, even on this occasion we went to climb to geureudong mountain in north aceh district with the arrival of guests even my own friend from a distance, a friend of the same campus with me named zulkarnain he himself is originally from central jakarta.

Previously we met on the same campus, he was willing to come all the way from Jakarta to study in Aceh because he wanted to find new experiences and could even say he was willing to go to Aceh and be separated from his parents for new experiences and challenges, initially we met in 2020 (two thousand twenty) more precisely in March.

At the beginning of our college we were in the same building but not in the same department, he majored in constitutional law while I was in regular law.

That's the story when we first met, and we continue to our stories and experiences heading to Mount Geureudong in North Aceh. Or rather, our goal is the waterfall of seven nymphs on Mount Geureudong, not only from students who come to the waterfall of the seven nymphs but also from various other circles, including having been visited by citizens of neighboring countries who study at one of the campuses. which is in Banda Aceh. The citizens I meant earlier are Malaysian citizens, all those who have been to Mount Geureudong whose goal is the Bidadari Waterfall, no one said sorry, but on the contrary, all felt reciprocated by the beauty of God's creation, which is so amazing and so beautiful to look at. eye.

This nymphs waterfall itself was discovered by people who wanted to find honey bees for trade, the beginning of the discovery of the nyerjun nymphs was the end of 2012 (two thousand and twelve years ago) since the beginning, not many people visited it, only a few of the lovers only nature visited him, after almost a year later the news of the discovery of the seven nymphs waterfall reached the ears of the army.

Not long after, the soldiers tried to touch it by promoting to the wider community the beauty of nature that was so beautiful but must still preserve nature and protect nature by not destroying it. the mountain.

After almost a year after the promotion of the Seven Angels Waterfall by various parties, ranging from nature lovers, mountain climbers and even the army, various communities in various campuses in Aceh province themselves visited campuses in Sumatra province.

north, not only that, the news of the discovery of the seven nymphs waterfall also shocked the public from children to old people, they were busy talking about it by word of mouth, even some traveler accounts on Instagram, Facebook and several other platforms joined in. promote it and even horrendous the virtual world to this day.

The distance that must be passed depends on where you start, if you start from the city of lhokseumawe then I can calculate the distance because I myself come from the city of lhokseumawe, the longest distance if from the city center to Kede Punteut is about 15 minutes drive and continue back from Kede Punteut to Kedembang in North Aceh Regency is about 1 hour 30 minutes, but the road has potholes when entering the North Aceh Regency area which starts from Kede Cot Matahe to Kedembang in North Aceh.

From Kedembang we continue after buying food supplies and other necessities from Kedembang to the command barracks or in other names, namely to the mes or the residence of the employees of one of the oil palm plantation companies, there is a tavern, usually the climbers.

or those who want to go to the seven nymphs waterfall there, gather and be given directions by the climbers or plantation workers who know the situation and the terrain that is going through when they want to go to the seven nymphs waterfall. From the command barracks to the seven nymphs waterfall, the distance or time needed is about 5 hours or the fastest is about 4 and a half hours.

Even then, if there are no obstacles during the trip, usually what takes a long time to get there is because it rains during the trip, the climbers have to stop first because of the heavy rain. Another challenge is that there is one hill that must be traversed, namely Tualang Hill, the highest hill among the others, it can be said that you will not reach the Seven Angels Waterfall if you don't go through a hill or another name, Tualang Mountain, and more interestingly.

when you get to the top of tualang there is the largest tree among other trees with a height of about two hundred meters, even the roots themselves are as big as a minibus and the tree is called tualang, I don't know about the name of the tualang tree, whether the previous climbers, local traditional leaders or indeed that tree's name.

It's not a fairy tale nor is it just a story that the tree is said to be visited at night by various wild giant birds whose size is very large. Even during our trip, we saw one of the bird's nests on the tree which was very large, I thought it was about one meter by one meter in diameter and it was the largest bird nest I have ever seen.
