MY BROTHER WITH TRAVEL

Hello friends, I hope you are all well. My brother and my brother's wife and I have built a Kalitala ghat on the banks of river Jamuna in Sariakandi upazila of Bogra city. We went on a tour of the ghats and there are launches in the river that have been cruising and doing photo sessions. Today I have come to share with you a short travel story.

We left the house around 8 in the morning and we went straight to Sariakandi bus stand. From there we cut the bus ticket and left for Sariakandi. It takes us about 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Sariakandi Upazila. From there we rented a small autorickshaw and went straight to the river bank.

There is only one big river to see here. We are standing on the Jamuna river, the largest river in Bangladesh. Launch was seen in the river. We had a photo session standing on that launch and went to travel from this side of the river to that side. It takes about thirty minutes to cross the river. The four of us went and we had to pay 200 rupees in the middle of the boat.

Currently towards the end of winter. So there is very little water in the river now. If people came here during the rainy season, they would be very afraid to cross by boat. This is because the river is not visible from this side of the river in the rainy season and the river flows very fast which is very scary. And many people have lost their lives in this current in this river Jamuna. Which is very sad now the river is very calm and suitable time to travel.

Due to the scarcity of water in the river, fishing enthusiasts come here on wheels to catch fish and they take innumerable fish from this river every day. The price of fish admitted from this river is much higher. Jamuna river fish is the most expensive fish found in Bangladesh. The fish of this river is most found in the north because the river Jamuna is located in the north and in the south the river Jamuna turns into Meghna river.

There are several dams on this river. Each dam has a different name. We have just come to visit Kalitala Dam. So I presented Kalitala Dam among you. Due to lack of time in our hands, we could not travel to the rest of the dams. Next time, of course, we're going to travel to another dam and tell you that story.

The people of the nearby villages along the river are very poor. Because when the flood comes, famine comes down in human life. So the people here are very poor. They have to live with a lot of problems during the floods and reach out to people. And in winter they can stay here very well. It is very sad to say that there is such a place in our country.

We are currently standing at the Kalitala bus stand. It is a small stand with many tea-cigarette shops and hotels. When a visitor comes to visit Sariakandi Dam, he stops here, drinks breakfast and then crosses the river. In a word, there is a passenger camp, there are shops, there are hotels, there are facilities for food. You can eat rice and Chinese fast food if you want. We didn't need to go out and eat. I just noticed the hotels and restaurants. There is quality food and you can easily travel to Sariakandi.

ভ্রমণের সাথে আমার ভাই

হ্যালো বন্ধুরা আশা করি আপনারা সকলে ভালো আছেন। আমার ভাই এবং ভাইয়ের স্ত্রীকে নিয়ে আমরা চারজন বগুড়া শহরের সারিয়াকান্দি উপজেলার যমুনা নদীর তীরে একটি কালিতলা ঘাট হয়েছে। আমরা সেই ঘাট ভ্রমণ করতে গিয়েছিলাম এবং নদীর মধ্যে লঞ্চ রয়েছে যেগুলোতে ঘোরাফেরা করেছি এবং ফটোসেশন করেছি। আপনাদের মাঝে আজকে আমি ছোট্ট একটি ভ্রমণ গল্প শেয়ার করতে এসেছি।

আমরা সকাল বেলা আটটার দিকে বাসা থেকে বের হয়েছি এবং আমরা সরাসরি চলে গিয়েছি সারিয়াকান্দি বাসস্ট্যান্ডে। সেখান থেকে আমরা বাসের টিকিট কেটে সারিয়াকান্দির উদ্দেশে রওনা দিই। প্রায় ১ ঘন্টা ৩০ মিনিট সময় লাগে আমাদের সারিয়াকান্দি উপজেলায় পৌঁছাতে। তারপর সেখান থেকে আমরা ছোট্ট একটি অটোরিকশা ভাড়া করেছি এবং সরাসরি নদীর তীরে গিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলাম।

এখানে দেখার মতন শুধু অনেক বড় একটা নদী রয়েছে। বাংলাদেশের সবচেয়ে বৃহত্তম নদী যমুনা নদীর ওপরে আমরা দাঁড়িয়ে আছি। নদীর মধ্যে লঞ্চ দেখা যাচ্ছিল আমরা সে লঞ্চে দাঁড়িয়ে ফটোসেশন করেছি এবং নদীর এই পাড় থেকে ওই পার ভ্রমণ করতে গিয়েছিলাম। নদীর এপার থেকে ওপার যেতে প্রায় তিরিশ মিনিটের মত সময় লাগে। আমরা চারজন গিয়েছি আমাদের ২০০ টাকা বিল দিতে হয়েছে নৌকার মাঝিকে।

বর্তমানে শীতকালের শেষের দিকে। তাই নদীতে এখন পানি খুব কম রয়েছে। যদি বর্ষাকালে এখানে আসা হতো তাহলে মানুষ নৌকায় পারাপার করতে অনেক ভয় পেত। কারণ নদীর এই পাড় থেকে ওই পার বর্ষাকালে দেখা যায় না এবং নদীতে খুব জোরে স্রোত বয়ে যায় যা খুবই ভয়ঙ্কর। আর এই স্রোতে অনেক মানুষের প্রাণ হারিয়েছে এই যমুনা নদীতে। যা খুবই দুঃখজনক বিষয় বর্তমানে নদী খুবই শান্ত এবং ভ্রমণ করার উপযুক্ত সময়।

নদীর পানি কম থাকার কারণে মৎস্যশিকারি প্রেমীরা হুইল দিয়ে এখানে মৎস্য শিকার করতে আসে এবং তারা প্রত্যেকদিন অসংখ্য মৎস্য এই নদী থেকে স্বীকার করে নিয়ে যায়। এই নদী থেকে স্বীকার করা মাছের দাম অনেক বেশি। যমুনা নদীর মাছ বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে দাম বেশি পাওয়া যায়। উত্তরাঞ্চলে এই নদীর মাছ সবচেয়ে বেশি পাওয়া যায়, কারণ যমুনা নদী উত্তরাঞ্চলে অবস্থিত এবং দক্ষিণাঞ্চলে যমুনা নদী মেঘনা নদীতে পরিণত হয়ে যায়।

এই নদীতে বেশ কয়েকটি বাঁধ রয়েছে। প্রত্যেকটা বাঁধের বিভিন্ন রকম নাম আছে। আমরা শুধু কালিতলা বাঁধে ভ্রমণ করতে এসেছি। তাই আমি আপনাদের মাঝে কালিতলা বাঁধ উপস্থাপন করলাম। আমাদের হাতে সময় কম থাকার কারণে আমরা বাকি বাঁধগুলোতে ভ্রমণ করতে পারলাম না। পরবর্তীতে অবশ্যই আমরা অন্য একটি বাঁধে ভ্রমণ করতে যাব এবং আপনাদের মাঝে সেই গল্প উপস্থাপন করব।

নদীর পাশ দিয়ে থাকা আশেপাশের গ্রামের মানুষজন খুবই গরিব। কারণ বন্যা যখন আসে তখন মানুষের জীবনে নেমে আসে দুর্ভিক্ষ। তাই এখানকার মানুষ খুবই গরীব। তাদের বন্যার সময় খুব সমস্যার মধ্যে দিয়ে জীবন যাপন করতে হয় এবং মানুষের কাছে হাত পাততে হয়। আর শীতকালে তারা খুব ভালোভাবে এখানে অবস্থান করতে পারে। খুবই দুঃখজনক বিষয় আমাদের দেশে এরকম জায়গা আছে বলে।

বর্তমানে আমরা কালিতলা বাস স্ট্যান্ডে দাঁড়িয়ে আছি এটা ছোট্ট একটা স্ট্যান্ড এখানে অনেক চা-সিগারেটের দোকান এবং হোটেলে রয়েছে। দর্শনার্থী যখন সারিয়াকান্দি বাঁধ ভ্রমণ করতে আসে তখন এখানেই স্টপিস দেয় এবং নাস্তা পানি করে তারপরে নদীর এই পাড় থেকে ওই পার যায়। এককথায় এখানে যাত্রীছাউনি আছে, দোকান আছে, হোটেল আছে, খাবারের জন্য সুব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। আপনি চাইলে এখানে ভাত খেতে পারেন এবং চাইনিজ ফাস্টফুড খেতে পারেন। আমাদের সেখানে গিয়ে খাওয়ার প্রয়োজন পড়েনি আমি শুধু হোটেল এবং রেস্টুরেন্ট গুলো লক্ষ করেছি। সেখানে মানসম্মত খাবার রয়েছে এবং আপনারা সারিয়াকান্দি আসলে খুব সহজেই যাতায়াত করতে পারবেন।
