The Challenges I Encountered While travelling by road on Friday 21/01/2022 by @niglys8

Hope you all are doing great?
I write to thank God for the journey mercies he granted to me while travelling back from the East to the Western part of Nigeria.

There are various means of transportation to any destination we want to get to in this planet earth and each of these means of transportation has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Transportation by road is one of the commonest and cheapest means of transportation because in one way or the other everyone can afford it unlike the other means of transportation such as transportation by air which is kind of expensive for most average individuals. But on a personal note, I think it's disadvantages outweighs it's advantages. While travelling by road, you would be faced with lots of challenges like vehicle breakdown, robbery, stress and even road traffic which could consume your whole time for the day especially if you are embarking on a long journey.

I was faced with these challenges while travelling back to the Western part of Nigeria from the East on Friday.
On that beautiful Friday morning, I woke up as early as 5:00am so as to prepare on time and meet up with boarding a bus at the park. After I was done with the preparations, My dad drove me down to the park.

Getting to the park, there was scarcity of bus going to the West due to lots of passengers that were still returning from the Christmas holiday. So after a while I was lucky to board a sienna bus.

At around 9:15am we left the park and started the journey. And when we got to imo state, we had a bursted rear tyre. Bursted tyre? I exhaled! 😮
Because as at then we still had a long way to go. Good a thing the rear tyre bursted close to a vulcanizing outlet, so it had to be fixed immediately. I with the other passengers spent over an hour before the tyre was fixed and after that we continued our journey.

As we continued with the journey, we met another challenge on the way, I'm sure you already know what challenge it is if you are used to road transportation. TRAFFIC!!
The traffic was something else, It was very stressful and time consuming. I got exhausted and almost wished I never embarked on the journey that very day. But I had no choice but to endure. The traffic made me spend my whole day on the road and I finally got to my destination around 10:pm in the night. I had a very stressful time travelling but I'm grateful to God for seeing me through.

Sincerely, transportation by air would have being less stressful for me and I wish I could afford it when next I'm embarking on a long journey.
