Glorious New Year to all the individuals! After a hectic year coming to end was just like a daydream to me. I’d like to thank the Steem-Travelers community & @hive-111293 for organizing such a beautiful contest for us to share our unforgettable moments with you all. I pray to God every single for us being alive like this, even though our other side of the world is burning. I live in Colombo, so it was very beautiful on the New Year’s Eve.

The heart of the city looked immensely beautiful. And there were so many people to watch the fireworks and all other light sessions and parties were still on.

After seeing the fireworks, we headed to the nearest temple, and this was my favorite temple after all. This place also crowded even in the midnight.

Then we came home after a good start. We were not yet tired, and the rituals had to continue. So, my father and mother prepared the goods and needs that were needed to boil the milk.
We always start off a New Year by boiling milk in a new clay pot. This is known for the prosperity and wealth towards you and your family for the New Year ahead. I know every Sri Lankan family do this when it comes to a New Year. It doesn’t always have to be a family, nowadays even business cooperation, companies do these rituals.

As you all know home fireworks would be a mandatory event for the young generations at present. So yeah! Why not, we did the same.
