location

Comilla is a city located about 100 kilometers away from Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It is a district town.In the same way I also encouraged him to travel when my elder brother was employed as a teacher of Comilla Cadet. Today's famous Buddhist temple is located at Mainamati in Comilla. It is located about 30 kilometers away from Comilla district town.

The reason for making this temple

Our country Bangladesh is inhabited by people of different religions and people of each religion have certain places of worship. Many Buddhist temples have been built for Buddhists in the same way that they can practice their religion.

History of the temple

The temple you can see in the picture is a Buddhist temple. It has expanded into an attractive tourist destination in our city. At present, it is not only an asset of our city, it has become a great asset of our country. The scenery inside the temple is more interesting and people flock to see it. This temple is located at Mainamati, about 30 km from Comilla city. The name of the most interesting city of Comilla is Mainamati. This city is very different from other cities. This city has many things. One of the twelve cadet colleges located in Bangladesh is in Mainamati of Comilla. The most famous place in Mainamati is Shalban Bihar. It is a historical monument of ancient Buddhist civilization. This Buddhist temple is located on about two and a half acres of hilly land. This dazzling place is a religious place of worship for Buddhists. The statue you see on the roof can be seen from afar.

There are two beautiful statues of Nag Raj on either side of the entrance of the temple. And in front of the entrance there is a statue of Buddha about thirty feet high. When the sunlight falls on the tea at this moment, it becomes even more beautiful to look at. A statue of two lions of the same color has been erected to guard the side of the statue. The entire temple has been constructed with various types of artistic works. The idol of this temple has been brought from Thailand. It was placed here at the moment on 15 August 2014. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Bangladesh. 76 Buddhists came from Thailand to set up this Buddhist temple.

My opinion about this travel

Truth be told, I had a lot of fun traveling because this was the first visit to a Buddhist temple in my life. I have visited many places before but never visited any Buddhist temple. So I'm glad to be able to go to this place. I also had an older brother who made this trip a lot more fun. If any of you want to visit this closed temple you can contact me I can give you the exact location.

Thank you for sharing with the community. very Impressive the biggest Budish temple in Bangladesh! :)

Cool story, thank you for sharing with us.
I've seen one Buddist Temple in Brazil, although I can imagine that the Latin American version may be far away from the original. The European and both American versions of Buddhism are a bit different, with plenty of New Age influences because of John Lennon who popularized that philosophy in the Western world in the last century.

Visiting a monastery has been in my agenda for a long time. It will be fun to visit one day. And thank you very for sharing this wonderful pictures and samples of how a monastery looks like.
