A few days ago I traveled to Lhokseumawe City. I travel by motorbike. Lhokseumawe city is about 30 minutes drive from my house. The city is a center for business, industrial and economic growth.

The city, which is located at the northern tip of the island of Sumatra, with the boundaries of the Malacca Strait and the Indian Ocean, is nicknamed the city of Petro Dollar. A city that is the center of the growth of the oil and gas industry in the province of Aceh. This city has abundant natural resources, in the form of the largest oil and natural gas in Indonesia. No wonder this city is dubbed the city of Petro Dollar, where many investors invest their shares in industrial projects in this city.

On the other hand, economic growth is also growing in this city. This is a city with various types of businesses, shopping centers and a number of other businesses are growing in this city. Developments in development and business that result in business transactions become a source of supporting economic capital. In addition, a number of ecotourism is also found in this city.

One of the most popular places is the Great Mosque of the Islamic Center. A mosque in the city center is quite interesting for me. This mosque is located on Jalan T. Hamzah Bendahara Simpang Empat Lhokseumawe. This mosque stands majestically in the city center with its towering domes.

In my opinion, this mosque has a design pattern that is almost similar to mosques in the Middle East. The ornaments and architecture look quite majestic and elegant with the gold dominating wall color. This mosque has 9 domes, with each side there are 4 domes consisting of two levels and one large main dome. The color of the dome is dominated by blue and green with white stripes that look very elegant.

The mosque has 4 entrances, from the east, west, north and south. There are beautiful calligraphy carvings and ornaments combined with middle eastern style. This mosque consists of 3 levels, where ablution is at the bottom of the mosque. The stairs leading to the ablution room which is under the floor are designed quite uniquely.

This mosque appears to be still under construction, because a number of buildings on the 3rd floor appear to be still under construction. The mosque room is very spacious and even according to information it can accommodate more than 10 thousand worshipers. Being inside the mosque is so soothing with beautiful patterned tiled floors. I feel comfortable when I'm inside the mosque, with a gentle breeze from the Indian Ocean.

On the second floor also has a large courtyard, a place where worshipers can rest and take selfies. The courtyard of the mosque is also very spacious and has a neatly arranged parking lot. From the outside, the mosque looks very beautiful with green grass and shady trees. Various flower trees were also planted which made the mosque look even more beautiful.

This mosque can be one of the centers of human civilization in the area of ​​the former kingdom of Samudera Pasai in the past. Every day this mosque is always crowded with pilgrims and tourists. There are also those who just want to capture their moments by taking photos. A number of culinary, drinks and food are also found on the roadside adjacent to this mosque.

This mosque is very beautiful and elegant, a place of worship designed in a beautiful and charming style. In addition to being a center of worship, a number of religious activities are also often celebrated at this mosque. I feel very happy to be able to visit this mosque again. If you travel to Lhokseumawe City, it's incomplete if you don't stop at this mosque.
