Hello good day to this amazing community! Today I will participate in a contest initiated by @hive-111293 , thank you so much, more power!

I will share 4 historic places in my town, Cebu Philippines. And share why this places are worth a spot in your travel list.

This travel has been made possible because of the event "Gabii sa Kabilin" or Night of Inheritance in English. Wherein we bought a ticket to visit all the historical places in our city, this includes museums and historical spots that shows our culture and tradition.

The Philippines has been colonized by several countries and acquired various cultures that add colors to its identity. I will share four of the historic places and museums in my town. So, let's go and let's have fun!

Our first stop will be an experience, this is Customs Aduana a place where Armed Forces of the Philippines ship was anchored and during scheduled events they will open this to public and you can come aboard to experience their rifles and firearms.

Their seafarers accommodated us and explained some facts about their ship. We had so much fun and I felt nervous this time because its my first time to have a close encounter with a gun and weapon.

Next place is Sugbo Chinese Museum, this museum showcased centuries of collaboration between Filipinos and Chinese ancestors. This is built in 1914, it was— at four floors—the first emerging tallest structure in Cebu and the first to have an elevator. Damaged during the war, the building has been restored and remodeled to house the Sugbu Chinese Heritage Museum. We are in awe as we ventured inside this museum, though it is still under improvement, history is still embedded in this place.

Third place to go, is a place with history carved in its foundations. The Casa Gorordo Museum is a house museum that you can visit in one of the oldest place in Cebu. It is a historic house built in 1970 by the Gorordo Family and housed ancient house materials. As we went inside we are told to turn off the flash of our cameras because this might damage the almost century old materials inside the house. I am very fascinated by how they preserve this house and how they gave importance to this place.

Lastly, is Museu sa Sugbo. An initially main prison of the Visayan District in 1871 is now a museum along the roads of Cebu City. Here is the google map link: https://goo.gl/maps/bB6jpxdQV7MgVKFN8

We can find an alley of historical paintings and artifacts of the Philippine history in this place.

Inside the museum there is a well at the center wherein in the past is the main source of water of the the prisoners during the Spanish era but now this became Wishing Well and people toss coin here to wish for good luck.
