#club5050 | Steem-Travelers Summer Vibes : Pool in a Cliff, Bonfires with Boodle, and Staying in a Bahay Kubo at Clarin, Bohol, Philippines!

It's summer, it is supposedly summer in the Philippines but there are still rain and storms happening here so it took me some time to join this contest from Steem-Travelers but since the sun rose up today again after days of rain and winds, I decided to check on what to post.

This morning, we went to the beach and as much as I wanted to share that here, we were not able to swim because there are things in the water that makes the skin itchy, we locally call it "laway-laway". One of the kids here decided to swim even if there are those itchy things because the water was really inviting so he ended up with his body filled with bumps and lumps due to the itchiness. It took several days before it disappeared though.

So I decided to not post about the beach yet, I'd like to share with you a summer getaway to the mountains instead. My family spent a whole night at a cliff camping location in Bohol, Philippines.

Bung-aw Eco Farm is located in the town of Clarin, Bohol, Philippines. Almost two hours away from our place. The entire family drove towards this resort. I booked three bahay kubo which was worth Php 1250 per house and can accommodate at least three adults. It was our first time staying in a bahay kubo and I just want to share with you that the bahay kubo is a native house that is the base of most Filipino homes.

It has a beautiful view of the famous Chocolate Hills as well which is a tourist destination on the island. It sits right at the heart of the island and is composed of thousands of hills that turn brown during summer. With the drone shot here below, we were able to see some of those hills scattered in the distance. This is the view from the pool side which has a cliff next to it.

The eco-farm has camping grounds as well as a dragon fruit farm and guests can have a peek at these growing cacti. There were still young when we visited it perhaps it is already bearing fruit today.

There are so many things to do here, they got a bonfire pit too which we had used during our dinner time where we had a boodle fight with the entire family. But the highlight of this vacation was the resort's pool. Here are some drone shots of the pool which you can also see in the video posted above.

The pool is advertised as an infinity pool. The upper pool drops water towards the second pool which are for the kids as it is shallow compared to the infinity pool. You can see my brother here sitting at the infinity pool which has a view of the entire eco-farm especially the camping grounds.

During our entire stay here, the kids always go to the pool for a swim even during the evening, everyone still went at night swimming. The kids had a lot of fun because there were only a few guests during our stay and so they had the pool all to themselves. We brought with us our floaters too!

But the entire family had fun even the adults and the seniors had fun too playing. We had spent the entire two days just swimming, running around which was really good for the kids. We had a lot of kids with us and ran around, then discovered many animals as the farm also has monkeys, horses, and other animals at the resort. They even have ATVs which we were not able to take advantage though, maybe next time we will try to make use of that.

Ultimately, this summer escapade was sealed by a very nice bonfire given to us by the management for free upon request. We had a boodle fight behind the bonfire and it was really a nice experience. There were so many stars visible here when the fire went out and we watched it before we headed to bed.

Aside from that, we enjoyed the sounds of cricket and the chirping of the birds in the early hours of the morning. This was one of the great summer escapades because aside from the good location, we also enjoyed each other's company.
