Why is it worth delegating SP for your favorite community? There are many reasons why you should consider this option. Today I will describe some of them and I will try to prove to you that it is worth to delegate, especially to Steem-Travelers

Imagine that you decide to write on Steem-Travelers regularly once, twice, maybe even three times a week. Every post of yours gets a vote from a community account that is mostly user-delegated SP. You can have 100, 200, or 500 SP with a total vote value of less than 0.01 USD, but when a large part of the community delegates to the curation account, together we can collect a huge amount of SP that will be used to upvote - also your posts.
At the time of writing this post, just a bit over a week after our community was founded, the community account has 5000 SP. 4800 SP are delegations. Most users delegate 50-200 SP, but the total sum is quite large and allows us to reward everyone with a 0.08 USD upvote. In this way, over time, we can raise enough SP to have an upvote worth a few or a dozen dollars. An upvote that will reward your posts as well.
Delegated SP is interest-bearing
The longer your SP is delegated to a particular community, the more the sum grows. Money lent to the community earns interest. When you decide to withdraw your delegation after some time, you will get more than you previously paid. This is a great option for those users who do not want to upvote other people's posts regularly, so they are not able to collect more money from curation rewards themselves.
A community with a larger SP has an increased chance of booming support or SC01 support
Of course, when you post regularly in our community, you want it to be rewarded with booming or SC01 votes. This has a positive effect on your earnings, the number of prizes in contests, and the overall development of the community.
The higher the SP of curation account increments, the greater the chances that the community will be honored with booming support.
We pay more attention to publications posted by delegates
We strive to keep our community as fair as possible. Everyone has a chance to win the competition, everyone has a chance to boom support. Sometimes, however, the publications are just as interesting, and the number of posts that can win an award or booming is limited and we have to make a tough decision. When we can't decide which post is better, we take two factors into account: We reward verified users more often than those who don't have a "member" badge. In the event of a tie between two members, we are more likely to reward the person who has delegated our community SP and is trying to contribute to our collective success.
We are planning a lottery for delegates
We plan to start a new project at the end of November, which will include a lottery with prizes for delegates. We are also considering launching the special contests for those who have delegated SP, or other forms of rewarding those who contribute to the development of the community.
The delegated SP remains your property
Many new users fear that by delegating SP, they will lose it forever. They cannot be more wrong. Delegating SP is simply a loan that benefits both parties. You can withdraw your delegation at any time. If you are concerned that you will not know how to do it - don't worry! Below we present both: how to delegate the SP and how to cancel the delegation
HOW TO MAKE A DELEGATION?
It's a very simple procedure. I will try to present it step by step in a way that leaves no doubts, but if you do not understand something and have any questions, remember that at the end of the post there is a contact to the administrators - you can always write to us and we will try to help.
- Go to steemworld.org → dashboard or enter directly into the searcher www.steemworld.org/@yournickname in my case it will be www.steemworld.org/@papi.mati
- Click on "delegations" in the menu. You will find a list of all users who delegate SP to you (incoming) and a list of communities and users to whom you are lending your SP (outgoing). However, at this point we will be interested in the last tab, called "delegate ..." - click on it
- Enter the nickname of the person or community you want to delegate your SP to. For the Steem-Travelers community, the nickname is @hive-111293
Then enter the amount you would like to delegate and click "OK", then "yes"
- You need your Private Active Key to carry out the delegation. You will be asked if you want to use KeyChain to complete the procedure. If you click "yes" enter the Active Key in the KeyChain, if you select "no" you can enter the Active Key directly on the steemworld website.
That's it - the delegation is ready!
The second option is to use the quick links with the delegation that we have prepared for you. Simply click on the amount you would like to share and enter your Active Key to complete the transaction.

HOW TO INCREASE DELEGATION?
This can be done in three ways:
The first is to use quick links with the delegation, the second is to carry out the procedure described in the chapter "how to make a delegation" and to enter a new amount. The third option is to go to your steemworld.org account, select "delegations" from the menu, then click "outgoing" and search for the delegation you want to enlarge or shrink. On the right side, you will find the "edit" button, which will allow you to change the amount and ask for confirmation with the Active Key
ATTENTION!
Regardless of which option you choose, each time a new delegation replaces the old one, it is not added to it. Suppose you delegated 200 SP to @hive-111293 some time ago and would like to add another 50 SP this month. If you click on the fast link with the delegation of 50 SP, you will decrease your delegation by 150 SP, which will be replaced by 50 SP. To increase it by 50 SP, you must select "250 SP"
HOW TO CANCEL A DELEGATION?
Just like it was described for increasing delegation. Edit the delegation by entering "0 SP" as the amount to transfer funds and interest to your wallet. The process of canceling a delegation takes up to two weeks. During this time, you will see the transaction in the "expiring" tab.

¿CÓMO CANCELAR UNA DELEGACIÓN?
