First Contest - A Place To Return To #01 || Mount Mauyog ||

Have a wonderful day #steem-travelers. It's so good to be here in this travel-lover community. I am @hae-ra, from the Queen City of the South, Cebu Philippines! I am so glad to partake in this very first contest as to share my travel history.

Being a traveler, made us wander the wonders of the world. On the other hand, Philippines has a lot of amazing and beautiful spots to discover that tourists are longing to see. I will show you one of those places here in Cebu.

MOUNT MAUYOG

This happened when we had a trekking and mountain climbing to Mt. Mauyog. It is located in Balamban, Cebu.
Towering at 1,027 meters above sea level, Mt. Mauyog maintains to be one of the most popular hiking destinations in Balamban. While various peaks like Mt. Manunggal are also located in this province. Mt. Mauyog is popular due to its rock formation, similar to that of a human brain.

From the main road, we had to do trekking for about more than an hour before we able to reach the area. We had to walk through on a narrow spot full of vines and other kinds of plants and trees, as well as the gigantic rocks that you can even imagine, a snake waiting for you on the pathway. If you're not used to do exercising, then you would become tired quickly, because there's a part that we had to go through by a cliff going up to the mountain.

Aside from it's known to it's human brain's like formation, it is called Mt. Mauyog because it comes from the word "mauyog", which means shaky, and it's really shaky in literal way if you stepped on the rock. So if you plan to have an adventure here, please be extra careful all the way, because it is not really safe to be with these rock formation, some of those rocks were having sharp pointed-edge.

After the long walk of the adventure, we finally got here, the hanging bridge, where we could able to relax, felt the surroundings with fresh air, the greenery environment and all.

Being in that place for a short period of time, made us want to have it more again because despite of the hardships we've been through while going there, but the sweat was worth the place exactly. It's all-in-one package already, aside from seeing the amazing place of Mt. Mauyog, you could also have an exercise. So it's kinda double purpose after all. But remember, it's worth the come back soon. And I miss it already. It's just so tiring sometimes to live in a polluted city though. But in Mt. Mauyog, there's nothing you would want anymore. And if you want to go there, please bring me too, 'coz I want to come back and return to that amazing place.
