Travel Contest XXV Edition// Holiday Destination Akyaka
Hello friends how are you I hope you are well.
For this Competition, I will tell you about a coastal city in the region where I live.
Akyaka, which is a neighborhood of the Ula district of Muğla province, appears as the lands where the Idyma kingdom ruled many years ago. This calm city, which tries to preserve its historical and architectural structure, is considered to be the pearl of the Gulf of Gökova, located at the seaside in nature.
You can travel to this city, which is about 35 kilometers away from the center of Muğla, by daily busses, or you can go with your own vehicle if you wish.
This place, which we can't get enough of looking at the view, was actually known as a quiet city. It cannot be said that the region, which has been attracting heavy tourists lately, is not very quiet, especially in the summer months..
From the moment we land in Akyakaya Center, it is impossible not to be enchanted by the city. The houses and apartments, furnished with that wonderful architecture that do not tire our eyes, increase our viewing pleasure.
In this city, which is intertwined with nature, there are picnic areas where you can come with your family and find peace, have a picnic and relieve the stress of the day.
In addition, if you want to camp in a tent with your friends, it gives you the opportunity to camp in nature, in an area with a sea view.
You can take nature walks on the paths around the place where you camp, or you can spend your day by making a wonderful nature tour with a bicycle tour.
Muğla is famous for its blue flag beaches in our country. Akyaka has a blue-flagged beach, and you can swim with peace of mind while on vacation, and enjoy the sea and your holiday. The cafes along the beach serve holiday lovers, and if you wish, you can also consume the food you take with your own means.
When you take a stroll on the beach, it is possible to come across souvenir shops with many handmade products representing Akyaka. You can buy souvenirs from these cute little shops and take them to your loved ones or keep them yourself, so that you can have a memory of your holiday.
There are many bays in Akyaka. It is possible to reach these bays by car. If you wish, you can enjoy swimming in different bays and seeing different beauties with the daily ship tours.
When you are hungry, you can meet your food needs at the restaurants lined up along the beach, and you can also have the opportunity to eat more conveniently at the municipal restaurants by taking advantage of the facilities offered by the municipality.
One of the most famous places in Akyaka is the place they call "Woman's Azmağı". This creek flows for 12 months of the year, many different kinds of fish and underwater plants grow in this azmak river, which reaches a depth of 10 meters in places.
The temperature of the water does not exceed 14 C in summer and winter. Azmak river water is 10% mineral water, so it is healing. You can choose the Azmak river to cool off in the summer months, stay by the riverside and have a nice day.
You can also take a half-hour tour of the Azmak river with small boats, and have a great time in this river, which is a natural aquarium.
