This is the middle of the 20th century, the second world war. I took these photos in November 2014 during a trip to Budapest. |
| На набережной Дуная рядком стоит снятая обувь. Чугунные туфли и ботинки выполнены очень натурально. Если не знать, то кажется, что был тут какой-то странный флешмоб с оставлением старой обуви. Мужская, женская, детская, грубые ботинки, лодочки на каблуках, босоножки, стоптанные башмаки. | Removed shoes stand in a row on the embankment of the Danube. Cast iron shoes and boots are made very naturally. If you don't know, then it seems that there was some strange flash mob with the abandonment of old shoes. Men's, women's, children's, rough boots, pumps with heels, sandals, worn out shoes. |
| Еще когда я только готовилась к поездке в Будапешт, этот памятник на фотографиях произвёл очень сильное впечатление. Казалось бы так просто и обыденно. Но пробирает до костей, когда смотришь на эти башмаки и понимаешь в память о каких страшных событиях они тут выставлены. | Even when I was just preparing for my trip to Budapest, this monument in the photographs made a very strong impression. It would seem so simple and commonplace. But it pierces to the bone when you look at these shoes and understand of what terrible events they are exhibited here. |

Их заставляли сначала оставить на берегу обувь… Обычные люди, тысячи из миллионов, уничтоженных той страшной войной. Нельзя забывать о таком. | Hundreds of thousands of Budapest Jews were herded into ghettos in 1944 after the German occupation of Hungary. Thousands were shot on the banks of the Danube by the Nazis. They were forced to first leave their shoes on the shore ... Ordinary people, thousands of those millions, who destroyed by that terrible war. We must not forget about this. |

The concept was conceived by director Can Togay and executed by sculptor Gyula Pauer. |

| Если будете в Будапеште у Парламента, то обязательно подойдите к набережной Дуная. Там открываются красивейшие виды на Буду: Рыбацкий замок и Королевский дворец. И там недалеко этот мемориал. | If you come to Budapest and walk near the Parliament, be sure to go to the Danube embankment. There are beautiful views of Buda: the Fisherman's Castle and the Royal Palace. And there is this memorial nearby. |

Today is the first time I have seen such a beautiful nursery life because I have seen many nurseries before but never seen such a nursery.
