Kamboja, One Of The Regional Tree Of Bali - Indonesia

In this post, I joined to participate in a contest held by @hive-111293 with a set theme which is Your Favorite National or Regional Tree. This contest has been going on for the past few days and I see many friends from steemit who follow it.

In this contest, I chose a tree namely the Frangipani Tree or what I know better as the Pohon Kamboja (in Indonesian). This tree has dense foliage but grows sparsely or not tightly. The branches are not too big and brittle. This tree is very suitable to be planted in tropical climates such as Indonesia.

Kamboja (Plumeria) adalah sekelompok tumbuhan dalam marga Plumeria. Bentuknya berupa pohon kecil dengan daun jarang namun tebal. Bunganya yang harumnya sangat khas, dengan mahkota berwarna putih hingga merah keunguan, biasanya lima helai. Bunga dengan empat atau enam helai mahkota bunga oleh masyarakat tertentu dianggap memiliki kekuatan gaib. Jenis akarnya serabut dan tekstur bunganya tidak terlalu kasar dan tidak terlalu halus.

The frangipani tree is one of the regional trees of Bali - Indonesia. Where this tree is highly cultivated in this city. We can find it in city parks and in the yards of people's homes. This tree also spreads to all corners of Indonesia, including the area where I live.

As for my city area (Aceh), this tree is very easy to find in the cemetery area. Every grave there must be a frangipani tree. Maybe the reason for planting in the cemetery to make the place cooler and fragrant is because of the fallen frangipani leaves and flowers.

The frangipani tree will drop its flowers before the flowers wither, so the flowers remain beautiful in color and fragrant in aroma. This is what causes funerals to be sprinkled with flowers continuously and still smell good without us having to sprinkle them all the time.

This tree has various types. This can be seen from the color of the flowers, some are yellowish white and some are red as a whole or yellowish red. The frangipani flower has a very bright and attractive color and the aroma produced is also very fragrant (typical).

The frangipani flower is also believed to have various benefits. Such as fragrances on sacred occasions, as a febrifuge and pain reliever, as well as snacks in certain areas.
