Incidentally a few months ago, almost a year, it seems, I and my family went to the Takegon area, Central Aceh, Indonesia.

The historical place that I stopped at that time was the Putri Pukes Pelale Ni ate tourist attraction.

So I want to share a little story about the history of this pukes princess.

According to legend, Putri Pukes comes from Gayo Land, which tells of a princess who likes a prince in another kingdom. Then Pukes daughter begged her parents to get them married. Initially the parents of Putri Pukes did not approve of their daughter marrying the prince, because the prince's country was very far from where the princess lived. But Princess Pukes and the prince were very strong in fighting for her love, so her parents approved of Princess Pukes marrying the prince.

After marriage, as usual, a woman must go to her husband's place, according to the gayo custom, the juelen system, where the wife stays with her husband forever.

Putri Pukes also asked permission to say goodbye to her parents, Putri Pukes' parents advised her daughter "My son, if you go after your husband, then go in peace and sincerity, even if you miss, don't look back".
It was the day that Putri Pukes' parents were very sad and very hard to let go of the daughter to go with her husband, Pukes daughter walked slowly away from the house and her mother, but how could she not be able to obey this message, Pukes daughter looked back, and immediately there came lightning and it rained heavily and he turned and turned to stone.

However, over time and for a long time, Putri Pukes stone slowly did not take the form of a human anymore.

And it is said, when we see this stone we are sad, then the stone brings tears to its eyes.

That's the legend circulating in the community about Putri Pukes in Takengon, Central Aceh.

In addition to the beautiful scenery and cold city, here there are also many old legends that you don't know about.

After enjoying and seeing the statue of Putri Pukes, our family and I enjoyed the food around here at Coffe Empus Pukes, in front of Putri Pukes.
