Greetings to everyone! At the new contest in Steem-Travelers community I would like to tell you about my farthest journey. For me, it was Indonesia.

I live in Russia and the flight from the capital of my country, Moscow, to Indonesia takes 15 hours. I was lucky, I had a direct flight. Usually people fly there with transfers, and it takes even longer.

I have to say that 15 hours on a plane is a very, very long time. First you eat, then you read, then you eat again, you read again, then you sleep, sleep, sleep but still you are on your way, especially if the flight happens to be during the daytime, as it was in our case. In the end, I rented a video player from the stewardess and watched a couple of movies on it. It helped me to spend my time. Well, the kids who were on the plane were just going crazy for 15 hours. It was rather difficult for them.

But when I arrived at last.. I realized it was worth it. After all, I arrived in Bali, one of the most beautiful places in the world! And it is very, very unusual. It is unusual, first of all, because there is a completely different culture, unlike anything else in the world. Absolutely different temples, a different religion. You may say that every country has its own unique culture, but the further you fly, the more surprised you are at what you see. I have visited about 50 countries, but Indonesia is the one I remember the most.

What is unusual about Bali?

• Temples. For example, the Royal Temple. It looks like a construction of other civilizations. It's amazing and very unlike anything I've seen before.

• The most beautiful ocean. The ocean is strong, and if you step into it with your feet, you will feel its power in full. You can not swim in all places, the waves are very large, they are good for those who surf. However, there are calm beaches where there are practically no waves, for example, the beaches of Nusa Dua.

• Food. There is a lot of seafood, it looks appetizing and very tasty. For example, in this restaurant, food is served not on plates, but on the leaves of some plant.

• Impudent monkeys. Monkeys are here as a separate civilization. And they are thieves, it's better to stay away from them.

• Local flora and fauna. It is very beautiful here and you can see unusual fruits and flowers here. Some fruits taste very strange, I took them to Russia and they flew 15 hours on a plane, because such fruits are not sold in my country.

In addition, there are very beautiful butterflies here.

• Wooden art of local artisans. Look how beautiful it is. Such figures are made with a very simple tool, and we had the opportunity to observe the work of artisans, they are real professionals in their field.

• Sunsets. Bali has one of the most beautiful sunsets on the planet. When the huge disk of the sun sets in the ocean, it looks fantastic.

Do you realize that you live in paradise?- I asked one local resident.

No,"- he replied, "I've never been anywhere, we have constant summer, and I would like to see winter.

That's how it turns out. When a person has nothing to compare with, he does not realize how stunningly beautiful the world around us is. Therefore, traveling expands the boundaries of our consciousness, and helps to understand that the world around us is so different, so beautiful.

Well and then it was necessary to fly back to Moscow. In Indonesia it was +30 degrees Celsius, and in Russia -30 degrees. Imagine what a temperature difference it was. And again 15 hours of flight..
