The Hive airdrop exclusion list is pretty overkill
Due to the code for Hive being released it seems we have also been shown the airdrop exclusion list. I am pretty shocked at some of the names on this list.
If you want the full list you can view it here. I don't know most of these names so I won't be going into them.
But I noticed that the voted for 2 sock puppets requirement captured the sct accounts as well as many other big names in the korean community. Steemians like @glory7 and projects like @sct may have voted for some sock puppets, but they were pretty neutral in the situation and spread their votes out so neither side could hard fork and tried to encourage conversation.
If these accounts get ignored we can be pretty certain of losing the entire korean community. That strikes me as a little screwed up, they held a different but understandable opinion, and were hardly centralization obsessed tronies.
And the result is going to be a large portion of the community, with many different opinions, feeling immediately alienated.
Feel immediately alienated. Thanks!
It's an awful feeling to be in this "list", and yes I'm in that list for following a proxy :(
I thought, Hive is created to nullify Steemit Inc's accounts, it seems that they expanded it marked anyone based on a "ruleset" without any attempt to review and notify the ones that are not even connected to the Steemit Inc / Justin Sun.
Thank you for the upvote and resteem
This list really sucks all around, people who had even small reservations about freezing someones steem are being demonized as centralization obsessed Sun worshippers.
It was made to specifically include even the people who voted for just enough witnesses to prevent either side from hard forking. Getting put on the list for voting through a proxy double sucks.
Thank you for the mention.
I am shocked by this nonsense decision, so I won't say too much now. All I can say is this is the censorship and centralization.
No problem, thank you for the resteem.
I am pretty shocked at this decision as well. I was behind the fork when it was a stab at Sun, but leaving people behind for simply not being 100% behind the soft fork is pretty screwed up.
The accounts are present on Hive, just without the airdrop. There is a process once the chain gets up and running for those who are on the exclusion list to appeal their presence there through the SPS system for the community to respond to the appeal through voting.
Thank you shadowspub.
But this isn't decentralisation if it's similar to how the centralized world works: Throw them in prison first, then we'll talk about who was wrong or right later.
Well I was not part of the process. I passed on the information for those who would like to appeal. I really don't care what they choose to do with the information.
I was hopeful both chains would thrive but after Justin Sun's behaviour yesterday what happens will be at the whim of a spoilt child with more money than brains.
People on the list can make their case and it will be voted on by the community. I'd voted yes, they will get the airdrop, from what I understand. I don't know what the criteria is to be considered a passing proposal.
Are you talking about the Korean Community that ran the biggest reward pool raping circle jerk ever. the same community that re voted in 12 sock-puppet witnesses and tried to extort/blackmail the community for a whole list of demands that would have screwed up the Steem chain for their vote.... Yeah good riddance.
Only real evidence I get for this is a post woth a 25 dollar reward that was a picture of a can of soup. If thats all you got then you should look around more, because stupid shit pays out all the time.
And 8 community witnesses. The prevented either side from hard forking.
Most of the community witnesses they voted for answered negatively to what they wanted in a witness. Deciding who to vote for is not extorting the chain, thats the kind of thing an actual supporter of centralization would do.
