They Took Our Jerbs... no, they were given away by the people you trusted
Most people look at the saying "They Took Our Jobs" and believe it was the Japanese, or the Mexicans, or the Chinese, however, they didn't take them, we was sold out. We was sold down the river.
Japan could be said to have learned to manufacture to a competitive level and even surpassed us in many areas.
However, Mexico and China cannot be said to have done this, because the truth is that American companies went to these countries and set up factories. Mexicans in Mexico didn't set up factories, the corporations looking to use cheap labor did.
In this blog i want to state the facts so that people can know what really happened, so that they will know what they are up against when we have to rebuild the west.
I can remember when things started to get moved to Mexico. Maquiladoras were being built in towns along the border. It was a program by the Mexican Govern-cement… or so we are told. But the reality is that banks were giving manufacturing companies sweetheart loans. NAFTA was formed to give every incentive to move manufacturing south of the border.
There wasn't any of the support facilities there. There wasn't even large, empty buildings. It all had to be created.
And its cost should have been prohibitive to any already set up manufacturing company.
Further finding Mexicans to be the work force was extremely hard.
Sure, they are hard working, but if they already have rice and beans, they don't feel compelled to show up for work. They are also rather lackadaisical about doing a specific task.
So, moving to Mexico really didn't save anyone money. Someone paid to have the manufacturing moved out of America.
And then along comes China.
Why on earth are we manufacturing stuff in China?
Well, the Chinese are good manufacturing people. They are detail oriented, and are skilled at doing repetitive tasks.
However, everything else about China says we should have never been there.
You pay for a manufacturing plant to be built in China... but the CCP owns it.
You send them your IP, and they will copy it.
You can ask them to manufacture to a certain level... and you better test every part that comes out of there, because all the corners were cut.
You cannot trust them to do what they say.
Even worse, you keep your company alive at the whim of the CCP and the local police / bureaucrats. China is just not a very good place to have your business. Once it is in China, you really do not own it.
Further, the CCP is performing all kinds of human rights violations. And they want Taiwan back. At some point there is going to be a war and America is going to have to choose between China and Taiwan.
Soooo, how did we end up doing all our manufacturing over there?
It would have been one thing for China to start making goods and then competing with American manufacturers, but this isn't really what happened.
First one company got moved to China, then with the help of channelled money was able to pay for their new manufacturing facility and then with govern-cement subsidies sell the goods to America and drive their competition out of business. And unless they did the same move to China they did get destroyed.
For an example, go onto Amazonium and look at products that are obviously being shipped from China. The shipping charges are less than what it costs an American company to ship across America. That is because someone is subsidizing the Chinese sellers.
We are not living in an open and fair market. Things are being manipulated all over the place. Starting with China being given preferred trading status
They didn't take our jobs. Our jobs were sent away, at quite some expense, for nefarious purposes.
AI can wipe out half the jobs in America... because half the jobs are people reporting stuff to the govern-cement and their counterparts in the govern-cements filing those reports. So much make work.
It was set up to be a house of cards and have everything real hauled out the back door.
We in the west, especially America, are hollowed out. And we are going to have to rebuild.
Fortunately, we are at the age where robots are super easy to build, and so we can rebuild better and cheaper.
Unfortunately, most people do not know the wall has been sapped, from the inside, and its all about to come down.
Unfortunately for the people behind all this, the CCP does not seem to be honoring their agreements, and so the plan is going askew for them.
And this is why i keep writing about Distributed Manufacturing
