Many of us know that the movie "300" was a success at its premiere in 2017 and that it has reached the whole world and was a success in the cinema at that time, it was a film based on myths and but with real events of the Battle of Thermopylae which caused a lot of interest in moviegoers of the time since it was based on an action comic created by Frank Miller and his wife Lynn Varley and in my opinion it is very original and that is why I consider the movie "300" one of my favorites. This movie is a description of the Spartan King Leonidas himself as the main character and his name is Gerald Butler.

In 2007 it was one of the most successful movies of the time, reaching 2nd place after Pirates of the Caribbean, the great movie "300" was nominated and has won many awards such as the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. It also became the best film of 2007 by IGN, best Action, Adventure and Thriller film by Saturn Awards and Best Adaptation of a Comic, by IGN. What it gives us to demonstrate is that it has been a very commercially successful film in which they have worked hard and their effort has been worth it since to this day the film is seen by many users and is broadcast on many television channels.

I also want to mention that the film begins by recounting the entire childhood and upbringing of Leonidas and tells us about his training in order to become the new Spartan King, in one of those trainings he faces a giant wolf and manages to kill it in a very simple way. and without much effort with a simple wooden spear, which caused everyone's amazement since he was fighting in a great snow storm.

At one point in the film he became the Monarch of the Spartan city and at that time an emissary from the city of Persia came to visit him, who had been sent by King Xerxes and such an emissary had the mission of bringing him the news that Leonidas had the obligation to pay a tribute from his land and give water to the city of Persia and in this way prove his submission to that city governed by King Xerxes and at that moment Leonidas gets angry and throws the emissary of King Xerxes into a well that He was close to said conversation and while that happens the emissary's escorts are shot down by Leonidas' soldiers.

While the time spent in the city of Sparta Leonidas was absent in the city and because of that a very influential adviser of the time called Theron whose main ideology was the pro-Persian ideology, this influential adviser had the objective of preventing the polis from supporting Leonidas and puts a lot of effort on his part to avoid this great battle, but the wife of the monarch does not want her husband to die in battle without help in the battle of Thermopylae and is forced to accept blackmail from the politician who He makes a proposal to have relations with her and in this way the wife gives him privileges before the Council of Sparta.

After two days of a great battle, Ephialtes pays Xerxes a visit, offering him a uniform, riches, luxuries and many women in exchange for Ephialtes revealing to King Xerxes the map that leads to the Anopea Path, which will allow him to reach the rear of Leonidas. After hearing the news, the Arcadians flee, but the Spartan king refuses to retire to die there in compliance with Spartan law. Before the final battle, he sends one of his soldiers, Dilios, who is famous for his great ability as a speaker, back to Sparta. He sends him with his personal pendant, which proves his death, and to tell the story of the warriors' sacrifice to the Spartan senate. At the same time Leonidas, with his army reduced to a few dozen soldiers, is surrounded by the Persian army, led by Xerxes himself.

My personal opinion about the movie:

I want to mention that it is a very interesting movie and I think it is great, but I will not give it more than 9.7 since personally I like science fiction movies based on the modern age much more and for that reason I will not give it more than 9.7 rating points, but I want to mention that it is a film that has won many awards and has won many ratings and many awards worldwide and has become the favorite film for many and I really want to emphasize that it is an excellent film and We should see it if we like this type of genre since personally it is very good and it is very well worked by its producers.
