St Alfege Church in Greenwich
I swear that the St Alfege Church in Greenwich is one of London’s most beautiful buildings. There has been a church here for over a thousand years, dedicated to the memory of Alfege, the Archbishop of Canterbury who was martyred on this site in 1012.
It was the first London church designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor.
