Retail therapy
I had to get my car brakes changed today… no one ever likes spending money on fixing their car! I had to wait around all day for them to fix it but being in a retail park and having already spent 3 hours between two cafes I did a bit of retail therapy.
I don’t care if you all think these are tacky these glasses and bowl are the best things ever from tk maxx lol. I also bought some really reduced toiletries, in the tk maxx super sale.
I really hate Costa coffee and all chain coffee shops infact but there are no independents in these retail parks. Why is chain coffee so bad? To me it always tastes of dishwater; and it always leaves me wondering how can dedicated coffee shops get their main offering so wrong and so bad in 2024? The one I make at home is infinitely superior and I don’t even use expensive coffee. It’s a quandary of life to me 😅
I spent two hours journaling, affirming and reading today as my phone died half way through the day and it was quite nice to be forced to take a break.
It seems bulls are the in thing for 2024
Yes, the coffee problem sounds familiar to me. I rarely find really good coffee when I'm travelling. We have a chain in Germany called ‘Meyerbeer’ - it's really tasty and not too expensive.
Ooh that’s good all our chains suck here I only rly tend to like independent coffee. They somehow make it taste like dishwater lol
