Red House Part II

Some more photos from the red house. William Morris was very well known for his wallpaper designs. He had seen the opportunity whilst hand decorating the red house, for more mass-produced work that could reach a wider audience. He wasn’t even a fan of wallpaper himself with everything in the red house being hand painted.

His wallpapers remain huge today even though during his life he was actually more famous as a poet than as a designer.
