Adam's Peak, also known as Sri Pada, is a revered and iconic mountain in Sri Lanka, rising about 2,243 meters (7,359 feet) above sea level. At its summit lies a sacred footprint rock formation believed by different faiths to be the mark of Buddha, Shiva, Adam, or St. Thomas, depending on religious beliefs. The mountain is a significant pilgrimage site, drawing devotees and travelers of various religions who embark on a challenging trek to reach the summit, especially during the pilgrimage season from December to May. The climb, marked by thousands of steps, offers breathtaking views and a spiritual experience that has captivated visitors for centuries.
