Hello dear friends from CCS!!

It is a great pleasure for me to participate in this food Daily photography Challenge, as it combines my two passions into one!! 🙂

These two photos are of a magnificent dish: Raclette, which is a traditional dish from Swiss and French cuisine that has become very popular worldwide. It is a sociable and festive dish enjoyed with family and friends. The name 'Raclette' comes from the French verb 'racler,' which means to scrape, and refers to the way this dish is served.
Raclette is made with Raclette cheese, a creamy semi-hard cheese that originates from the Swiss Alps (nowadays, there are different varieties of this cheese). The cheese is melted on a special grill called a 'raclette' and then scraped onto various ingredients. Typical accompaniments include boiled potatoes, cold cuts, charcuterie, onions, mushrooms, and bacon. As seen in my photos, you can also improvise (for example, I reinvented the dish and added tomatoes, zucchini, red onions, and eggs).
The process of eating raclette is simple and fun. Each diner has their own pan or plate to put the melted cheese on. Then, additional toppings are added according to personal preference, creating a delicious combination of flavors. Raclette is a comforting and delicious dish, perfect for sharing at gatherings, with family and friends, or at parties!!
