Food Photography Challenge - Week 12 | Galician stew
Hello friends of the CCS community on Steemit.
Today I am going to share with you some photos of a traditional Galician dish called: cocido gallego; I cooked this dish in Alsace, France and when I cooked the dish, I revisited it, since in Alsace, not all the products I need to make the cocido gallego are found.
These photos were all taken with a Canon EOS 600D
These are the photos of the revisited Galician stew. Normally, the dish is made with chickpeas and I used white beans instead of chickpeas. The Galician stew is made with: cooked chorizo, salted pork ribs, pork ears, shank, salted pork belly, salted bacon, boiled potatoes and grelos; I had to replace the grelos with cabbage; because grelos are a type of cabbage that only grows in Galicia. I also replaced the salted pork with other meats, since here in Alsace it is difficult to find cured pork.
This delicious traditional dish of Galician cuisine is eaten seasoned with olive oil and smoked paprika.
It is always a pleasure for me to participate in the excellent contests of the Steemit CCS community.
Thank you for watching, I hope you liked the photos.
Until next time: @leorock
