Landscape Photography - Week 5 / Rila Mountain
Yonchevo Lake is located in the Rila Mountain at an altitude of 2013 meters below the summit of Popova Kapa. The lake is named after the painter Hristo Yonchev, who was an enthusiastic hiker and spent entire summers with his family in the Rila region. The hike to the lake is not particularly challenging and the view is definitely worth it. It's easily doable as a day trip from Sofia. You will surely leave feeling refreshed and energized for the days ahead. ⛰️
