The Joy of Growing My Own Vegetables

Hello dear friends,
I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.

Last month, when I visited my village home, I decided to take some vegetable seeds with me. Living in the busy city surrounded by concrete walls often makes me feel distant from nature. So, I thought, why not plant some vegetables in our yard? It would not only make the surroundings look beautiful but also bring peace to the heart. With that thought, I took a few packets of Bismillah Seeds — bitter gourd, bottle gourd, eggplant, and a few others.

At first, my mother was a little surprised by my plan, but after hearing my excitement, she smiled and agreed to help. We started preparing a small piece of land behind our house. As I sowed each seed, I realized this wasn’t just about planting vegetables — it was about planting hope, love, and life itself. Every seed held a promise of something new and fresh.

In the following days, my mother watered the plants regularly, while my little sister looked after them carefully. After I returned to the city, both of them continued to take care of the garden with great affection.

This morning, my mother called me and said happily, “The plants have grown so big!” Her voice was filled with joy, as if those plants had become part of our family. A little later, my sister sent me pictures — and I was amazed! The vines of the bitter gourd were climbing beautifully, the bottle gourd plants were spreading wide, and the leaves were shining under the morning sun.

Looking at those pictures, I felt something deep inside me. It was as if a part of my soul was growing there, in that small piece of land. There’s a special kind of happiness in seeing something flourish that you once nurtured with your own hands.

Eating vegetables grown by your own effort brings a joy that store-bought food can never offer. These vegetables carry the essence of care, patience, and love. Each leaf and each fruit is a reflection of our family’s warmth and togetherness.

I believe everyone should have a little “green habit” in life. You don’t need a big garden — even a small plant in a pot is enough. Spending time with plants brings peace to the mind and teaches us patience, hope, and gratitude.

Now, whenever my mother tells me about the plants or my sister sends me new photos, I feel an unexplainable sense of fulfillment. Those small green plants have connected our hearts even more deeply.

Nature always blesses us when we care for it with love. So, I would say to everyone — bring a little green into your life. Plant something, nurture it, and see how it fills your days with quiet joy.

In the end, growing your own vegetables is not just about harvesting food — it’s about harvesting happiness, peace, and the love that grows with every leaf.

Thanks all
