Hello Everyone !

I am @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. How are you all I Hope you all are well and doing great in your life .Today I am participating in this contest
YOUR FAVORITE FESTIVAL. organized by @pathanapsana in CCS community. The contest is about " favourite festival".
So let's start.
In Pakistan we celebrate many varieties of festivals , showing our culture and religious tradition.I eagerly wait for all festivals but my all-time favorite is Eid .

WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE FESTIVAL?

In Pakistan as a muslin we celebrate many festivals which reflects our traditions and cultures but my favourite festival is Eid. There are two events to celebrate Eid which are Eid ul Fitr and Eid UL adha. These are celebrated in the two different months of Islamic lunar calendar.

Eid UL Fitr comes after keeping fast for the whole month of Ramadan and the spiritual worships.
Eid UL adha memorizes the sacrifice of prophet Ibrahim (A.S) of his son Prophet Isma'il (A.S). It the symbol of faith in Allah that for Allah any Muslim can sacrifice his son.

WHEN IS YOUR FAVORITE FESTIVAL CELEBRATED?

It is very memorizing time for muslims around the world . It's a festival of celebration and happiness. It is celebrated twice in year around the world and in Pakistan. The first Eid is Eid UL Fitr that happens at the end of the ramzan in the 9th month according to the Islamic calender .

In the holy month of Ramzan we muslims on the last nights of Ramadan, like 28th, 29th and 30th of Ramadan, the moon is called to see whether the moon is visible or not. If the moon is visible on any of these nights, Eid is celebrated the next day.

The second Eid is Eid UL Adha which is celebrated on the 10th of Dhu al-hijja which is the last month of Islamic year. It is basically celebrated in the remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim(A.S) who became willing to sacrifice his son Prophet Isma'il to obey the order of God. But just before the sacrifice god sent a lamb to sacrifice instead of prophet Isma'il.

This Eid is considered the symbol of faith in Allah. In the monument of this event Muslims all around the world, every year sacrifice sheep, goat, lamb, cow and camel . They distribute the meat among the poor, needy, and family.

HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE YOUR FAVORITE FESTIVAL?

Eid is celebrated first but Muslims offer their Eid prayers first.
I celebrate both the Eid with great joy and happiness. First of all we celebrate Eid by preparing new dresses for the three days of Eid.

On the day of Eid, friends and acquaintances gather together to have breakfast and prepare their traditional food and serve sweets.
On the day of Eid, relatives go to friends' houses, congratulate them, give them gifts etc. and celebrate together.

On the day of Eid and before, the poor are helped so that they too can share in the joy of Eid, buy new clothes and eat good food.
Before the days of Eid, houses are decorated, houses are cleaned, lights are installed, flowers are decorated, etc.

Festivals , cultural functions are also held at different places. As here also there is a festival on three days of Eid. We go to this fair and there are swings etc. and the food is a variety of food that we enjoy.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE DISHES ON YOUR FAVORITE FESTIVAL?

Food is prepared on the occasion of Eid because Eid seems incomplete without food. Various Pakistani foods that are prepared on the occasion of Eid add to the joy of Eid.

A day before, a list of foods to be prepared on the day of Eid is prepared. First thing in the morning, after breakfast, Sher Khurma is made, which is the most popular dish in Pakistan and which is also very delicious.

After that the preparation of lunch is started as we prepare Biryani , Chicken Karahi and Kebab etc. for lunch during Eid days.

The special thing about Pakistani cuisine is that it uses more spices and chilies, which makes the food more enjoyable and tasty.

Celebrations also include home-made sweets like gulab jamun jalebi in Pakistan are prepared at home and distributed among guests and friends.
The purpose of these events is to celebrate together as family and friends spend time together and celebrate.

That's it from today's blog . I hope you like it .
I like to invite @josepha ,@saintkelvin17 @patjewell to participate in this contest.

Nice post dear, I really like it.

Thanks alot .

Wonderful! I've learned more from your country.
I wasn't aware of the fact that food from Pakistan is more spicy than Indian food.

Inidan cuisine like curries, samoosas, etc. is very popular in the province where I live.
Thank you for sharing and for the invitation.

Good luck with the contest!

Yes Many Indian and Pakistani foods are similar. Thanks alot mam for wishing me luck.
