| Утром 17 июля 2023 года наш круизный корабль подходил по Ладожскому озеру к Валаамскому архипелагу. | On the morning of July 17, 2023, our cruise ship approached the Valaam archipelago along Lake Ladoga. |
| Погода не радовала: было пасмурно и шёл дождь. Но пейзаж мне понравился. Настоящий пейзаж сурового северного лета. | The weather was not good: it was cloudy and raining. But I liked the landscape. A real landscape of a harsh northern summer. |
| На горизонте небо было светлее. Это давало надежду, что погода улучшится. И, правда, через несколько часов вышло солнце. | The sky was lighter on the horizon. This gave hope that the weather would improve. And sure enough, a few hours later the sun came out. |
| Но пока мы с подругой наблюдали, как дождь покрывает рябью озеро. | But for now, my friend and I watched as the rain rippled the lake. |
