Я много слышала о строганине: тонко нарезанной замороженной рыбе, которую едят северные народы. Но ни разу не доводилось попробовать. Как и моим друзьям. | I have heard a lot about stroganina: thinly sliced frozen fish eaten by northern peoples. But I have never tried it. Neither have my friends. |
И вот оказалось, что в Калининграде во многих ресторанах подают это блюдо. Раз уж мы приехали в Калининград, решили впервые попробовать строганину. | And then it turned out that in Kaliningrad many restaurants serve this dish. Since we came to Kaliningrad, we decided to try stroganina for the first time. |
На второй вечер нашего пребывания в этом прибалтийском городе мы отправились в ресторан «Шпрот». В меню была строганина из пеламиды. Вскоре это блюдо стояло на нашем столе. Надо отдать должное, блюдо выглядело очень красиво. Тонкие стружки-завитушки из бледно-розовой рыбы выглядели очень аппетитно. | On the second evening of our stay in this Baltic city, we went to the restaurant "Sprat". The menu included bonito stroganina. Soon this dish was on our table. I must say, the dish looked very beautiful. Thin curls of pale pink fish looked very appetizing. |

Одна из моих подруг подготовилась к нашему мероприятию, изучив заранее, как нужно подготовить к еде строганину. Подруга взялась доводить блюдо, а я снимала этапы. | One of my friends prepared for our event by studying in advance how to prepare stroganina for eating. My friend took on the finishing touches on the dish, and I filmed the stages. |
Подруга выдавила на рыбу дольку лимона. | My friend squeezed a slice of lemon on the fish. |

Затем посолила блюдо. | Then she salted the dish. |

Туда же добавлен черный перец. | Black pepper is also added there. |

И, наконец, добавляется поданный от ресторана полупрозрачный соус. | And finally, the translucent sauce served by the restaurant is added. |

Далее уже растаявшая рыба тщательно разминается вилкой до состояния паштета. Строганина готова для еды. | Next, the already thawed fish is carefully mashed with a fork until it becomes a pate. Stroganina is ready to eat. |

На гренке ржаного хлеба это очень-очень вкусно. Мы все остались очень довольны этим новым для нас блюдом. | On a toast of rye bread, it is very, very tasty. We were all very pleased with this new dish for us. |
